Ok, was I the only one thrown by the appearance of Hector from The Electric Company (the guy in the bar)? He like raps and sings about letters lol!
I have a been a fan of Damian Lewis’ since Life (a show I still mourn). And this show is such a great showcase for his smoldering yet restrained acting-style. I love that the show gives you both sides of the coin. You feel for Brody and what he has experienced and gone through. I’m excited to watch this story unfold and hope that future episodes are as good as the Pilot was.

Not to be a stickler for details but how could Claire Danes’ character have such psychiatric issues and work for the CIA? She said she had been dealing with it since she was 22…
I wasn’t sure I’d like Homeland, but I watched it last night and it was very good. I’m impressed with Claire Danes and now I have one more reason to look forward to Sunday night.

Finally watched this on my DVR and found myself rather engrossed.
Initially, Danes was the draw for me. But when I found out Lewis was in this series, it was gravy! When he played Soames in “The Forsyte Saga,” I was creeped out, but loved him in “Band of Brothers.”
Looking forward to seeing how “Homeland” unfolds…
I REALLY liked the premiere of this show. It was tense and intelligent and gave just enough clues to suck me right in. Can’t wait for the second episode. Great cast, great premise…but I agree with others. I don’t know if it’s going to be sustainable for a long run unless they are planning on having different cases to work on. Otherwise it’s very liable to fall into the trap of constant red herrings that made “The Killing” so frustrating to watch.
enjoyed show very much… Clare Danes is a wonderful actress, she just gets you involved in “her world” so quickly no matter what character she becomes. Never saw LIFE but I guess it must have a bubble of fans…. every time I see Damien Lewis’ is name the word LIFE is always attached. What was the show about?
the two seasons are out on DVD, you can check it out on Amazon. the last episode was done with the expectation that the show (sadly) wouldn’t be picked up, so at least you’ll have some closure. then go back and see Band of Brothers, another Damian Lewis performance. great actor.
My new favorite show is Homeland, but I love to watch Damian Lewis in anything he is in – especially Band of Brothers. He is a wonderfully skilled actor who is completely believable in any role he takes on. Looking forward to Sunday nights again!
