Anyone else wanna see Lady Gaga HOST Snl next season? From her appearances last night, i think she’ll do well.

    • mariah4Life

she is mediocre..just like her songs from her new album.

    • sam

She would be a great host. She was funny in every skit that she was in.

    • LOL

I would love that, but so many haters would knock her before it even airs. Kinda like they call her cd a flop before it even comes out.

      • True Blue

Haters are gonna hate. That’s the price of success, I guess.

    • Ivee

I’d love to see Lady Gaga host next season.

I think Ken Tucker’s review was spot-on. Justin and GaGa were great together. I guess i shouldn’t be, but, I was surprised by just how talented GaGa was in the sketches. Would love to see these two teAm up together in something in the future.

I loved every minute…I couldn’t believe how fast it went and coulda watched another 90 min. Why can’t every episode be as funny? They were on their A game last night. I’m glad I recorded it…!

Best show of the season. Both JT and Gaga were very funny. I enjoyed the Barry Gibb talk show and just about everything else on the show. JT even made that horrible game show skit amusing. Bill Hader great as always–so glad to Stefan one more time this season.

  • racefan111

Never thought Gaga was attractive until that 3-way skit.

    • LOL

You loved her Three’s Company look. I sure did.

  • Lindsay

I loved the whole show with the exception of the Herb Welch newscaster segment. It’s the exact same thing every time. Bill Hader is overused.

    • rossman

Lindsay, you’re a hoot. Of course the Herb Welch sketch is the same very time. That’s why they call it a recurring sketch. I think it’s hilarious. Always makes me laugh. And I think Hader is a brilliant comedy actor.

    Loved it–very funny!!!

JT was a lot of fun. Great esprit de corps. Gaga was good too. I liked the opening sketch up until they said that they were going to rape DSK. The two black performers got their moment to be in the spotlight. Unfortunately, it was ruined by that line. Weekend Update was just right. Often it is very weak. Jimmy Fallon needs to rein in his tendency to overdo. He can be spot on with his characters but went overboard. A pretty good show overall. But not that strong a year for SNL. They need Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph to come back. Happy Summer gang!

The Barry Gibb sketch tried to make fun of people like Bill O’Reilly. The problem is that taking a parody of Gibb and making it a parody of something on top of that is too much.

What’s up with Tucker’s I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt it was a satire about that gay line in the Digital Short… I’m sure JT and Samberg are gay-bashing… are you serious Tucker? the line was pretty innocuous… it simply meant that a boy, boy, girl threeway isn’t a gay act… nothing more nothing less. Get off your PC wagon. Other than your dumb comment about the lyric, overall the show was pretty good.. I give it a B+ (just a shame this group of writers feel the need to repeat every single sketch over and over)

Gaga was indeed a good sport. However, she missed a great opportunity to poke fun at herself — she should have invited Weird Al for a duet of ‘I Perform This Way.’

    • Mike

Weird Al needs to host, that would hilarious!

  • schauspieler

Anyone know who Timberlake hugged at the very end of the show? He went down into the audience and hugged what looked like a short blond woman. Who was she?

    • Ivee

She looked like his mother. I think he mentioned his mother was in the audience because she actually was in the audience.

  • Luna

Bill Hader gets the MVP this show. He was in almost every sketch (all of those costume changes! Sheesh!), Lady Gaga was amazing (but why was she preggo in BTW?) and JT was just awesome and funny in every skit.
I really wish they would kill the Secret Word Sketch, it’s so annoying. Also I thought that the carnival skit was better the first time they did it IMO…

    • jt

Yes, Bill Hader deserves an Emmy nomination , and a big time film career.

      • gigi

Totally agree. Bill Hader carried this season of SNL. Love Him.

      • Bugjuice

I totally agree. Hader is a comic genius imo.

      • Holly

I would love to see Bill get an Emmy nomination! He’s the main reason I keep watching SNL.

  • Flo

I love how Lady Gaga was so excited at the end of the show, she was running around like a 5 year old, and jumping up and down in giddiness. She should do a host/musical guest stint next year FOR SURE!

    • Scarlett

I loved that too. For all that GaGa has done (and done well) in such a short time, and with the persona that she has created for herself, you sometimes forget just how young she really is. I’ve said it many times. This girl is not going to hit 50 and look back and say “Crap! Why didn’t I just go for it?”
