And one more thing, Ken: I’ll watch ‘House’ again because Thirteen is back, and Olivia Wilde is so *#%@^ing hot!
I bet the last few episodes of this season will be good. House and 13 probably will become a couple.
IMO: in the early episodes, House’s team was interested in House, wanted to figure him out. Now, they do not care @ him and so, since characters dont care @ House, the audience, too, finds House uninteresting. Does that make sense? House really needs someone to have a connection with, and Thirteen fills that … And I really love, adore, worship Olivia Wilde after last night. Totally believed she killed her brother, and saw her future in him. Heartbreaking.
House is a great show and I never get tired of watching it, and I can’t say that about any other show that I’ve seen on TV in the last 40 years. Ken Tucker, yer nuts!
If Ken Tucker really dislikes this show so much, why bother review it? The writers are damned if they stick to the formulatic plot every week, and then they’re damned if they try to go away from it and do something a little different. And for everyone saying the show isn’t realistic-c’mon it’s a freakin tv show, not real life!!!
I could never understand why House is so unhappy. Stacy said he was pretty much unhappy even before his leg was operated on.
Why is he unhappy? He is reasonably good looking (despite what he said to Cameron), he is musically inclined, he is doctor and more than that, he is a genius doctor, a person capable of learning enough Hindi(?) to insult a former colleague. He seems to know Chinese and he can ask “how old is your sister” in Korean. Despite the other impossibilities in the show, e.g., a drugged-up doctor giving medical advice, operating on patients arbitrarily, etc., his unhappiness makes no sense.
We have given up on this once-great show. What a load of schlock these actors are in now!
I loved this episode! House has always been interested im childish things, and Thirtenn went along with him because she’s been locked up for 6 months, and really, what else did she have to do? Go to the Mcfries job??
Soem people complain and it seems all they want is the “Problem of the Week” shows. Those are sooooo predictable. Mmmmm. it’s only 8:40, so the team still have 2 more wrong diagnoses to go. And while there’s some bed-hopping like a ridiculous soap opera, it’s minimal and is usually funny, like Taub getting with his ex-wife over a hot younger nurse aide.
Love the show, and I sincerely hope the creators and actors reach an agreement to return next year.
As someone who actually has the syndrome the patient got diagnosed with, and has been waiting for it to be featured on the show, I was really disappointed with the lack of focus on the medical case. There are so many cool facets and symptoms to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome that could have been explored, instead it was boiled down to “it CAN cause you to miscarry” and a completely unrelated psychological problem. I am a huge fan of the show but this one was completely unrealistic – and House saying he’d kill Thirteen at the end? Not quite a shocker, considering the character.
Getting thirteen back on House this week was very cool. Olivia Wilde has a presence on the show that is unmatched by any other actress. She is entertaining because she’s good at blending the character of a smart doctor at work and a bad girl in her private life.
I thought Olivia Wilde did some great acting, but I wish House had revealed more about himself.
