Under the neon lights…embrace me… I can’t get this song out of my head!!!
I thought the Wayne’s World one was alright. Monologue sucked, Church Lady one was good until Bieber showed up, Digital Short sucked, Weekend update was good, everything else sucked.
But Jay Pharoah was hysterical, make him the main cast member, kick Wiig out, make sure Armisen and Hader don’t get so many rolls, and the show will be awesome
I loved this episode. I thought Wayne’s World and the Church Lady were HILARIOUS, but granted I wasn’t born when they were first being used on the show so what may seem bad in comparison to others was new (and hysterical) to me. I was actually crying during the James Franco impression…it was so funny and I am a huge fan of Franco’s (it’s not even normal) and I have to say it was very accurate with his mannerisms and way of carrying himself. Too funny…Paul Brittain should be used more I love him. And same with Jay because the Eddie Murphy impersonation was fantastic. Justin Bieber was funny, and so was the commercial with Kenan. I didn’t like the second half of the show as much but I did laugh at the last sketch, mostly because it was so weird. Overall a really good episode, and I’m hopeful for next weeks since I think it’s on a roll of 2 good weeks in a row. I hope that didn’t jinx anything…
Btw, I find it funny how the cast members people complain about are the best ones. Sorry, but without Wiig I don’t even know what that would mean for the woman of the show, let alone SNL as a whole. And Hader and Armisen are obviously 2 of the funniest guys (I like Andy too)…god forbid SNL recognizes this. I understand you all think its over kill a lot of the times but I wish more people would step back and appreciate that without those 3 the show would be unwatchable.
Honestly, I felt that Linkin Park was week, flat, and desperate. Carvey could have been worse, and a tired rehashing of his hits was exactly what I was expecting, so no complaints about the comedy. To repeat, Linkin Park was more than disappointing, the performance made me wonder when their VH1 reality show is coming out.
Dana Carvey is a talented guy….talented enough to know he needs new material. “Isn’t that special” isn’t so special anymore. Maybe his funny younger son, Tom should take his place…
I didn’t get to see the whole show, but I do think that what I saw was really great, and that Dana Carvey is one of the most underrated people ever to be in the cast. He is one of my fave cast members ever!
I do consider all the concepts you have introduced in your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too quick for novices. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
