I thought is was really good episode the music was great. I liked how they got the football team and Glee to come together just like last years sectionals. But the Finn Quinn thing was lackluster Sorry but useless Maybe there is a purpose to this hanging tree We will find out later but the rest was great. That is a b ig improvement from the other episodes this season. I’m glad.

anyone else think they’d seen this episode before? on “saved by the bell” when screech developed the anti-zit cream and turned everyone’s faces purple. bayside won the football game because of it.

    • Mark S

No, but I must admit I cracked up when I read your post.

  • Tina

it was alright…but I feel as though there are the same conflicts every episode. Glee vs. Football vs. Popularity vs. Sue, etc. Seriously, it’s getting obnoxious. WE KNOW YOU’RE IN GLEE CLUB, IT’S NOT THAT UNCOOL.

    • loey

Agreed. How about some real life conflicts at home, ethical dilemmas…

    • Kat

SO MUCH AGREE. And seriously, I know not every school is the same, but show choir was the arts activity for THE coolest kids at my school. Between shop, visual arts, band, orchestra, drama, and chorus….chorus totally won among popular kids and show choir was by far the most highly respected. I can understand maybe a new Glee Club not being cool at first, but these kids have performed like a zillion times for their fellow students and they’re always wildly cheered at the end. Do the same kids who go nuts for their performances REALLY still think Glee kids are losers for doing the very activity that they themselves so wildly applaud? I mean…use some logic, Glee writers.

Agreed! Mr. Shue needs to chill a little too. He’s lost a lot of his joy it seems for glee and is always too stressed.

I was surprised that the fb players took the slushies from the hockey players. I mean, these are the dudes that bullied Kurt.

  • Dave

If they were trying to win some new fans, they failed.

    • Nan

Meh, they don’t need any new fans, so no big loss. The people that already enjoy it clearly got a great episode though, so yay!

  • Michelle T

First time I watched since the pilot.

I liked it even less this time. Not sure how this is considered a comedy.

I guess I simply don’t get it, but clearly there’s an audience for this type of show and it’s good there’s a lot of channels.

    • Jeremy

Well, if this is the second time you’ve watched it in 34 episodes, then that might explain why you don’t get it. For someone who doesn’t watch it, you seem to feel your opinion about a show you don’t watch actually matters! Don’t worry – I’m sure some station has reruns of “Matlock” that can entertain you.

      • Kat

Jeremy, this show was intentionally placed after the Super Bowl in an attempt to win over new viewers. Michelle is just expressing her opinion that, as one of the targeted viewers for this episode, it didn’t work. Her opinion ESPECIALLY matters in this case because of the post-Super Bowl situation. Personally, I thought it was a better episode than usual for Glee, but Michelle’s negative opinion is just as valid as my (or your) positive one.

      • Rocky

Jeremy, why do you have to be so combative and insulting with people who don’t agree with you? Stop taking every negative opinion as a personal affront to you.

Yes, you like Glee. Some people don’t or have stopped. Accept it and move on.

  • Corinne

I, actually, thought that this was a great post-Superbowl episode. I was really happy with the balance of theatricality and actual Glee club issues. It was nice to see them interact as a CLUB rather than as a bunch of sometimes-friends. Lea Michele was in top form tonight – it was the first time in a long time that I enjoyed her performance. Also, I liked the interaction between Finn and Quinn…until the kiss. She needs to stop cheating on people! And Finn is a huge hypocrite if he pursues anything with her, and he would have to forgive Rachel immediately.
I loved all the musical numbers, but thought that “Need You Now” was really unnecessary and forced. I wish they had saved that for another time – especially if Finn and Quinn are going to be a thing now, and Rachel would really want to make Finn jealous.
Max Adler was amazing as Karofsky – I love the character and they’re giving him a great storyline.
Darren Criss is just the best. I adore him. The song was a little random, but I appreciate being able to take a look into Kurt’s progress at Dalton.

    • Sas

The Dalton thing is too boring and forced! Bring Kurt back, I say!:-)

      • MLK

No, leave Kurt there… maybe it’ll give the other cast memebers (Mercedes especially) to have a storyline of substance…

      • Lily

        Agree… I adore Kurt , but I want some more Mercedes…

  • Nan

Why is it that Ken Tucker always writes like he has a stick up his butt? So cynical. We get it, you think football is barbaric and dumb and you’d prefer to watch people read the dictionary or something. Good God man! Glee is suppose to be a fun escape, not rocket science! Sorry it can’t live up to your EVERY expectation. Though compared to his usual reviews I guess this one was decent.

  • loey

I liked tonights episode, and yes I have been getting very bored this year! I really wish they would develop this Karovsky line more. PLEASE less Finn and Rachel and more Tina, Mercedes, Puck and BRITNEY!!!!

  • g

im liking dave’s gay storyline more and more every episode. more than kurts. i mean it seems cliche for a football player to be closeted but it does happen. and you could really see his struggle in this episode. i think that was the main plot in this episode for those complaining that there was no plot

    • tickles

The problem is that Karofsky became unredeemable the minute he threatened Kurt. There is no way is hell that he deserves even a second of air time. It makes me angry that he is still at school having a good time when Kurt is gone.

    • Lily

As much as I don’t like Karofsky, it is interesting to see bullying from the bully’s point of view…

  • Kiki

Bills, Bills, Bills was my favorite part of the episode! It was kind of randomly thrown in, but I love that song, and those guys did it so well.

    • Snsetblaze

And the Warblers learned to move.

  • Mike

I though this was one of the worst episodes there has been. I have been a fan of the show since it first aired but the show has been going downhill. The plot line was terrible. Like half the episode was students fighting or yelling at each other. I think with with some of there characters they have taken a good thing and overdone it. Especially with Sue and Brittney.

  • Javadude54

Great episode. Loved Rachel’s car commercial better than any of the real super bowl commercials.

    “I hate you, Diane Sawyer”

  • Sas

I love this show but think the whole storyline with Kurt being at another school was just boring and forced. Bring back the nerdiness.that was rampant in season 1 and more Emma vs. The wife storyline!!!

  • Rory

I am so sick of Dave Karofsky. Why is that character even still on the show? He should be expelled for throwing slushes in people faces and threatening to kill kurt. Why doesn’t the school do anything about it. I know it’s a TV show but they stuff they write is unbelievable and would never happen in really life

    • bullyshappen

that kind of stuff still happens at high school everyday….

      • Laura K.

Plus Sue did expell him. The school board didn’t back her up.

    • Ashley

Excuse me, but that actually happens in real life. I was threatened repeatedly, in front of witnesses no less, and nothing was ever done about it. If anything, a lot of the bullying on this show is mild. I’ve had a guy come up to me with the teacher mere feet away and threaten rape. And had people come up to me, shoving me around while saying that Hitler had the right idea. Once again, with teachers nearby. This stuff, and way worse, happens all the time. Sure, to those who have little experience with being bullied and outcasted, this would definitely not seem feasible, but trust those with experience that it most certainly is.
By the way, I absolutely loved this episode. <3 :)

    • J

I think the question that needs to be asked is does anyone at the school have any actual authority. Coach Bieste was brought in as a tough authority figure, yet a good portion of the football team goes unchallenged no matter what they do. And let us not mention principal Figgins, and the total lack of reaction when Sue throws her fit and seemed to have even got into a few students faces while she did it. If no one is going to say no why do they even need a principal wouldnt a reign of anarchy be easier. Like you I know it’s just a show, but could they at least try and pretend they have some basis in reality.

  • g

if you only knew rory. stuff happens at school worst that wat davde does. it just goes unnoticed. i mean yeah he should have been expelled because it was noticed but its glee lol
