Jeff Bridges is hosting Saturday Night Live this week, with musical guests Eminem and Lil Wayne. As you can see from this promo, Bridges is promoting two movies, TRON: Legacy and True Grit. I think the Coen Brothers joke is funnier than the TRON one:
Bridges seems to be taking his hosting duties seriously enough that he was moved to shave his beard, presumably for maximum facial expressions during sketches:
I assume there’ll be parodies of both films, but I also hope SNL gives Eminem the opportunity to take part in some of the sketches. Em can certainly be poker-faced-amusing when he chooses to be, as he’s proven on SNL before.

You should just title this: Your “SNL/Kristen Wiig sucks” comments are desired since that’s what this turns into every week.
It was another horrible episode from this terrible show. When will SNL just end already. Seriously, they keep recycling the same jokes over and over and over and over and over and over and over again!
All they do is put ‘What’s up with That’, then put Kristen Wigg in another annoying skit, then Obamam, then stupid Weekend Update, then Eminem preforms, then end the show with the awkward hugging at the end.
Their writers suck and can’t write anything funny anymore. Its not the icon of a show that it used to be. Now its filled with cheap laughs like farting or guys kissing each other. Thats not funny. It was never funny.
I say fire most of the staff, especially Seth Meyers who can’t write and the annoying Kristen Wigg, and get new, fresh, and funny blood. Thats how you’ll save the show.
Right now it is extremely unbearable, and this episode was moronic and horrible.
So, you saw tonights episode already? That’s amazing future man.
If only there was some device that could allow you to watch a different channel.

I love Jeff Bridges, he’s my favorite actor. But SNL has been sucking lately, with the exception of Bill Hader. Hopefully it’ll be a semi-decent episode. Been waiting all week for it.

I agree. Bill Hader is the easily the best part of SNL. They have a decent cast and pretty good guest hosts, but the writing has been lacking lately. Though, I absolutely love the Julian Assange skits!
SNL is a freaking joke, and has been for years. No Talent Required to be on SNL anymore.

Why does race have to be brought into it? The most unintelligent people are the ones who hate Obama simply because he’s black. That’s ignorant as hell. But then again, this is about SNL, not African Americans.
Kirsten Wiig is overexposed on the show, really a one note comedian whose novelty has long ago passed. I will consider tonight’s episode a success if she is confined to one skit, let the other females have a crack – this new crop seems very talented. Other than Abbey Elliot and Kirsten Wiig, the rest of the female cast is really funny – especially the Miley impersonator.
This is to ‘larry david’ : SNL has been televised for over 30 years. It’s end is nowhere in sight, simply because the ratings are too high. i respect your opinion, and i defend to the death your right to say it, but it is simply irrelevant, untrue, and a little disappointing. to think that snl is ever going to end, hahaha, thats outrageous. saturday night live is a gateway show that opened up the careers to the actors that you love the most. so think before you speak next time you post an absurd comment like that again.

I wanna see a sketch called Tron Grit about a one-eyed computer hologram US Marshal from 2075 AD chasing the rappers who stole drum machines and samplers from the future. the hologram gets cyber-hepatitus from the rapper with the he-skank tattoos, then pixelates and dies.

if only you were a writer on the show…but, then again, lorne would probably not select your sketch for the actual show since it is funny and modern.
This is my first time watching your show. The only reason I’m watching it now is because, Eminem and Lil Wayne will be performing.
