Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Fallon exchanged Christmas gifts in nearly simultaneous moments on their competing talk shows last night. Craig held up his box from Jimmy and said he was “terribly excited” because everyone knows “Jimmy is awesome and he can knit like 12 gay men.”
Sure enough:
Meanwhile, over on Fallon’s show, Jimmy said, “My buddy Craig Ferguson and I are exchanging Christmas presents,” and suddenly Craig’s fake horse Secretariat came loping out with a greeting card and instructions for Jimmy to look under his desk.
Jimmy did, and this is what he found:
The little kitty-cats in arrived already named by Craig: They’re “Regis” and “Kelly.” (Bonus points to Jimmy for doing Craig’s wild-arms dance with the horse.)
As Ferguson said, in the spirit of the holidays, “And to all the media hacks who like to poke the hornet’s nest and say there’s a late-night war, I say… go right ahead.”

I think it’s delightful, and I like them both. Jimmy seems like an incredibly friendly guy, and Craig has no ego. While I prefer Craig’s show over Fallon’s, I love their interactions with each other.

Agreed! They’re both better than Jay and Letterman. I’ve only started watching Craig recently and he’s by far better than other Late Night hosts. What a great interviewer he is.
Yea this is extremely cool. These guys are so much funnier and obviously have way more class than (unfunny) Jay and (angry old) Dave.
Fallon, Ferguson and Coco are the only reasons to watch late night.
Craig, Fallon, and Kimmel have the best late night shows. All 3 are much more cutting edge and funnier than Dave, Conan, and especially Jay.
Fallon does seem like a very nice and generous person but in no way is he cutting edge. He’s hardly ever even funny.

Jimmy has been fantastic on his show, def adorable, sexy, funny and likewise with Craig, love that the two of them are having a bromance and admire each other’s comedy and are secure enough to be able to acknowledge each other’s genius.
Very nice. I’m more a Craig fan myself, but I like that both honor the other and refuse to fall into the late-night wars.
I’m a Craig fan but I like that he and Jimmy are friendly towards each other. While I don’t condone giving pets as gifts, it was still a funny bit.
I think this is great! I think all of the “bonding” these 2 do between networks will help with ratings, too. It will show networks that people like nice, funny, sincere people over DRAMA. I hope these 2 keep it up!

Jimmy Fallon is awkward and EXTREMELY unfunny. I keep trying to watch the show but I have to turn it off. It’s a wonder he’s still on.
I loved that they timed it so that you could watch Craig get his sweater and then switch over to Jimmy getting the kittens. Craig wore the sweater in the last segment, but did Jimmy refer to the kittens again? (I’m liking both shows a LOT now, but the biggest reason I stay with Craig in the second half is because he’s the much better interviewer/conversationalist.)
