Anne Hathaway hosts 'Saturday Night Live': Your opinion is desired.

Anne Hathaway is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, with musical guest Florence and the Machine. Hathaway is very good at reacting to comedy — just look at these promos with Bill Hader:

Given last week’s mediocre-through-no-fault-of-her-own Scarlett Johansson edition of SNL, the show needs to give Hathaway something to work with, a way to deploy her abundant natural charm.

So sound off below on what sketches you’d like to see Hathaway star in, whether or not you have a desire to see the actress’ new movie Love and Other Drugs, and what topics you guess or hope SNL will address.

Then come back to EW.com early tomorrow morning for my fresh, piping-hot review of the show; thanks.

    Can’t watch Hulu in Canada…sucks!

    • Marko Ramius

      That sucks, Hulu is wonderful
As for SNL, the writing matters, not the host, if the show is great – the host gets the credit for a good show, if the show stinks, the writers take the heat. I think Anne is a bit overrated, whatever happened to the glamorous women in Hollywood?

      • Her

        They’re dead.

      • Iron-y Man 2

They stuffed the show this week with bits that weren’t “live” at all…and those were the funniest bits.

She has a clown face, but great personality.

      • deedee

        clown face? she is beautiful

      • Sean Elliott

Hathaway has a face only a man could love, which means about everyone

      • Anonymous

She doesn’t photograph well, but she is still one of the most beautiful people on this planet!

      • anonymous

Is it because of her porcelain skin ? She is beautiful.

    • Tom

Anne is one of the most natural, gifted and all-around performers in Hollywood today. Totally psyched about the show. I 100% agree the writing’s gonna make or break it.

      • Nan

isn’t that generally the case EVERY week? It’s all about the writing. well, 90% writing, 10% host.

    • Johnny Weir

I really don’t care who hosts as long as they never have that ogre Gabourey Sidibe on again. Ugh, yeck, WORST SNL EVER.

      • brenda

Totally agreed. I’ve been watching SNL since the beginning, and that was hands down the worst episode I have ever seen.

      • lookn_4_laffs

WORST episode ever??? Doesn’t anyone remember Nancy Kerrigan??
        Painful to watch……

      • sally1018

But Gabourey Sidibe has a beautiful personality…have you seen her on the Big C? She is hilarious.

  • Nick

I absolutely loved her when she made her first appearance a year or two ago and i know that if it’s a bad one with her then it really isn’t her fault at all and it’ll be concrete proof for me that the writers suck now and it’s not worth watching

    • Marko Ramius

The writers will make the show good or bad, not the host. If you think otherwise, you have as little sense as Jessica Alba and all the other “good” actors she has worked with

      • TJ. Church

I already have to disagree when they say last week was bad despite Scarlett; I thought it was good, but largely b/c of her work.

      • Nick

I think that’s pretty much exactly what I said dude. She can be good because I’ve seen it happen but if she’s bad it’s the writers fault since i know she can shine on the show since she does have the talent to be good live.

      • Nick

        With good material

    • Kyle

She was awesome the first time, and they wrote some great sketches for her. That Mary Poppins sketch was BRILLIANT, and I also remember the one where her roommate was pretending he was gay! Here’s hoping the writers bring it this week…

  • Fred

    is she gonna be nude???

  • chris c

Love her, she will be great. Its the rest of them you have to worry about.

    • LOL

High hopes this week. Anne rocks!

  • Joe

It’s kind of sad that the promos are the funniest thing about SNL these days.

  • Heather

LMAO at :47 seconds in the first video

  • Lstat

    I love Florence!!

  • Trixie

I’m really excited. I love Anne Hathaway AND Florence!!! I was so excited when I saw that they’re both on tonight. Very good choice.

    • Aleksandra

NAWT! I don’t like the glasses. No ofnesfe but I’m not a fan of nerd chic, sorry. But if she were casted for a smarty part those glasses would so work x10!-A

  • Merima

I love Anne Hathaway! She’s a classic beauty and completely natural. Jake Gyllenhaal and her make a fantastic cast, I’m looking forward to seeing their new movie, Love and Other Drugs!

Making a great show goes hand in hand. You can have a perfectly great host and a perfect script but if the two don’t correspond then you get dismal results no matter who they are. But I think tonight will be a good show.

  • Ryan O’Brien

Love and Other Drugs should be good and the promos were funny. Didn’t see the Zombie one coming at all. She and Hader were hilarious in her Mary Poppins sketch two years ago

    • Erica

that was my favorite skecth fro her last episode

  • Tv izle

Hi to all visitors, I would thank for a beautiful subject.

My 2nd favorite clip, 1st being “Kiss my a$$”

  • Philip

Are we going to have one of these every new show? Does get a bit repetitive after a while. Kind of like the 300 Glee articles each week.

    • Steve

Yes, and regardless of how bad the episode will suck, Tucker will give a glowing review. I doubt he’s even stayed up past 10 p.m. to watch it this past decade. He probably just copies and pastes what the NBC promo people send him via email.

      • Fatima

You’re proven immediately wrong with last week’s recap.

  • Just Jules

I think Anne was quite funny in Get Smart.. And I hope the SNL writers do some good stuff this week (Scarlett got the short end of the stick last week).. Maybe a new skit with the Target lady (it’s Christmas shopping season, Yo).. Or a scared straight skit with Keenan (ala Betty White)..

  • kt

I adore Anne. The Mary Poppins’ skit is a SNL classic.

  • kt

Yes, I will see Love And Other Drugs. Jake Gyllenhaal & Anne Hathaway have unbelievably hot chemistry.
