Kanye is just a self righteous ego maniac. Bush is not a racist, just a republican.
Lauer’s point is correct.
I wasn’t a supporter of Bush, but I will say this — he had a “f-u” attitude when it came to what he wanted to do. I think that’s from his business side….and I wish the present President had that same attitude — FU Republicans….instead of being nice and conciliatory. Just do it.
Bill Maher once said the same thing, and I pretty much agree with him. I still support Obama, but my biggest issue with him is that he’s a wuss when it comes to taking initiative on certain things. Bush was (and still is) an idiot, but at least he had cojones.
I think both Bush & Kanye are jerks. Both shoot off their mouths without engaging their brains first.

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye. Not your biggest shining moment: that was….wait, let me think, oh yeah, You NEVER have had one. Think those diamond teeth will distract folks and they won’t notice your less than stellar moments? Nope, that sh*t’s gonna follow you EVERY WHERE you go. Next time you think about making a statement, just remember, NO ONE CARES!!!! (cough) LOSER (cough)!!!!!
I think Bush should be far more concerned about his legacy as a president than Kanye. Kanye’s an entertainer, we pretty much expect entertainers to say and do stupid things. Politicians on the other hand, should have much more sense than that.
Wait… you’re saying that we shouldn’t expect politicians to say and do stupid things? What planet are you living on?
If Kanye makes bad decisions -numerous people’s lives are not ruined or lost. Politicians are public SERVANTS – Kanye West is not an elected official. Bush was entrusted with managing the freaking country. If he’s not held to a higher standard -there’s something seriously worng with this country.
Wow – I should have proof read my comment before posting!
Bush is a complete narcissist who doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
Black rapper calls white man a Racist!
wtf is new?
only news because they both make more money then you and i.
George, I would say that your worst moment as President was everything between when you stole the first election to when you left office. You were a complete disgrace to the office, you mired us in a completely ludicrous war on total fabrications created by your office. American blood is on your hands. You have to live with that the rest of your life. Kanye was partially right. You don’t care about poor people. Katrina was on your watch, and you did nothing. You weren’t just the worst president in the history of this country, you are a bad human being.
If a man as powerful as bush cares THIS MUCH what a rapper thinks, you idiots voted for the wrong candidate in November of 2000
The people to Blame over Katrina, is New Orleans Mayor and Govenor.. They let all those school buses sit idle while people needed to get out of the Katrina’s way.. Kanye is a loose lipped FOOL.. Don’t worry about Pres. Bush, Obama doesn’t care about the Blacks, Whites or any other race.. His attention is on the Muslum’s…Comment on that KANYE! Doubt HE will be elected for another term.
Regardless of whether or not Kanye’s remarks were appropriate or justified, Bush’s reaction strikes me as oddly oversensitive and reactionary. Most disgusting moment? Seriously? He was President of the United States for eight years and exposed to the full spectrum of public opinion. How could he have possibly have emerged from that experience so thin-skinned?
All you Bush haters accusing him of being a racist, clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. That man sent more money to Africa to combat AIDS than any other president, including Obama, who can’t even help his 1/2 brother living in a hut over there, and if you listen to George Clooney, Bush and conservatives in general have done more to help the situation in Darfur, and Clooney’s a liberal. Also, all you libs who think that conservatives and Christians are racists, who do you think sends medicine and humanitarian aid into 3rd world countries just on the money they collect from parishoners? Where are all of the liberal or atheist charitable organizations feeding the homeless and drug addicts of all races, in this country and others, the way the Salvation Army does? You’d rather the Federal government take money from it’s citizens and make people dependent on them through entilement programs like welfare, gov’t run healthcare, food stamp, etc. And just remember when you call Bush a killer and war monger that both Clintons, Gore, Kerry, and so many other Dems also believed in the intelligence we went to war on (and made the case for war before Bush was even elected) and many voted to authorize the war. Grow up. You disagree with Bush? Fine. But don’t impune someone’s character by calling him a racist in typical liberal fashion. Disgusting is a fitting word.
I don’t think Bush is a racist. Your point about his work in Africa is valid.
But, he could have used his interview with Matt Lauer to shine a light on causes he believes in, rather than taking a shot at a rapper who insulted him. I guess taking the high road doesn’t sell books!!
Why would he talk about causes he believes in? That’s not his job anymore, he’s out promoting a book.
Wait has Kayne forgotten about Condoleeza Rice as Secretary of State? I love that woman.
And Colin Powell? Any black Republicans are called Uncle Toms and traitors by the Left, so they don’t count.
You do realize that this happened over five years ago right?
Exactly. Hence why I don’t see this as whining. He’s just commenting on something that is probably just a short paragraph in the book. Obama would have held a press conference the next day to clear the air.
Takes a racist to know one, Kanye.
