I lik Nikita and am also a fan of La Femme Nikita. The action sequences are very good but the dialogue did need some help. I especially like that Owen is coming back. Kinda hard to believe that Nikita can survive (at the same address no less) against Division. How is Nikita financed? With all the tracking devices and spy sattelites you’d think they could find her. As for Michael, his character needs better lines and more personality.

I know I’m extremely late on this, but I wanted to point this out to those of you who seem to think that this is a remake of the former Nikita projects. This is just a telling of what happened after. So of course it won’t have the same characters and story, because it isn’t a remake. o3o

Alias (aka Jennifer G) is ridiculous: imagine working as a spy or government whatever in Langley with your father & mother involved + sister + who knows everybody in your family is the stupidest plot i’ve watched on TV!!!!!!

This show is boring. The lead is attractive for her age but she does not live up to “goddess” hype. Five years past expiration date.

I love the story line. Nikita is kul and so is michael n alex. Will michael finally realise that nikita lovs him or will he love alex instead

This show impressed me from the very beginning. The plot twist with Alex allowed for the perfect dynamic of watching the training of an assassin, watching the rogue assassin up against all odds, and the grueling suspense of whether or not they would get caught by an ultra elite spy/assassin agency. It’s like three series in one! The writing on this was ingenious. That said, I think that all of the characters are developing very well, and I find the show VERY entertaining (which is, after all, the most important part). One shouldn’t compare it to the past “Nikita” franchises, though. This story line is a well thought out and over used one that this current series put a fantastic spin on. I always liked and enjoyed the past renditions (even though the series could get very tedious), but this one seems to me to be far better.

I’ve watched the new series….the whole of the first season and I can’t stand it. I’m a massive fan of the original LFN (tv series) as well as the movie, and this teenage angst-driven show has nothing on either. Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis owned those roles as Nikita and Michael. This whole franchise is set in a European city, typically PARIS, FRANCE. How dare the creators of this crap show move the whole thing to the US? How pretentious! Just about everyone on this new series is seriously miscast, with few exceptions: the woman who plays Amanda (that chick gave me shivers, definite undertones of Alberta Watson’s Madeline) and the girl who plays Alex. I liked her, reminded me quite of Peta Wilson’s real Nikita. But Maggie Q’s Nikita, other than the fight scenes, doesn’t engage me. And Shane West’s Michael is laughable. He doesn’t come close to having 1% of the presence of Roy Dupuis’ Michael. Dupuis played the character the way he did because of his view that killing that many people on a daily basis takes a piece of one’s soul. It was incredible and mesmerizing to watch. LFN had heart and soul in the form of Michael and Nikita’s relationship and I just don’t find myself invested in Nikita’s ‘Mikita’ relationship. I’ve watched both seasons and just can’t get into it. The acting’s stilted, the dialogue and writing cringe-worthy. Many of the plots have been done by either LFN, Alias, and 24, which incidentally, 24 was produced by the writers/creators of LFN. No wonder why I love it. Birkoff is NOT that character. At all. And realistically speaking, just why would an organization like that recruit TEENAGERS? People in their early to mid 20s, yes, criminals older than that with experience, yes. Not kids. Unless there’s a really good reason. And there’s not. Alex’s ‘induction’ into Division ticked me off, since it was pulled straight from the movie and LFN. Even her interaction with ‘Michael’…

Part of the reason I can’t watch Mikita is how they portrayed them. They’re characters that supposedly have this history together, but we don’t see it, seldom. very seldom. There was no vested interest in the two of them at all. You didn’t get to see their relationship within Section develop, see the longing and the fighting and I’m a huge fan of slow buildup. You can’t rush that kind of chemistry, and imo, Shane and Maggie don’t have it. At all. Watch five minutes of Peta and Roy in a scene together and the sparks LEAP off the screen. You can’t re-do or improve perfection. Stop trying.
