I was intrigued with the ep preview a couple of months ago. Been watching on replays (keep forgetting that it’s on becuase I’m typically watching True Blood and recording Leverage on the other tuner) and it definitely has been a slow build up but in a heady way and do understand that this is a different animal from Mad man and Breaking bad…. WIll keep tunig in as I am looking forward to seeing the threads crossing and it looks like they will be soon.
I’ve been religiously watching. I’ve wanted to watch it since the first commerical for it. I love tangled mysteries where you keep getting little clues here and there (like Lost); I’m not hung up on getting *answers*, I enjoy the journey. Also, James Badge is hot.
I love it also. The characters seem real to me. They aren’t super pretty or super human, there are just super smart, but in a tortured sort of way.
The episode where they had to determine if a drone attack on a terrorist was warranted knowing full well about collateral damage to innocents was compelling and really well done.
I’m hoping for great things from this show.
Agree with all of this, especially about that particular episode. It was powerfully haunting and sad to think that there actually *are* people who have to make those kinds of decisions.
I love this show. Love, love, love it. I didn’t want the last episode to end. Maybe that was bc Will was a dope Again and confronted his tail. Maybe it was bc Maggie dragged the episode and I was waiting for something better. Maybe it was bc Miles was so hang-dog adorable. But mostly bc I bought Kale’s patriotic speech hook, line and sinker. God love me, sucker that I am, I believe in that sneaky spook.
I like it – but it is sooooome slow. Reminds me of MI-5 which is being rerun in all its glory on the local public tv station. Hope AMC sticks with it.
MI-5 Is Brilliant.
I love Rubicon, it is slow and I’m often thinking huh?? But I love that I’m expected to follow along and be a smart viewer!
I’m loving it. Such a nice change of pace from all the fast paced music other shows need to try to make a scene interesting, or people chasing people, cars, etc or special effects.
I’ve been hooked and I love the pacing – I find it very real while still compelling.
I am guessing, however, that it likely has the least amount of pages in their weekly script than any other one hour tv program.
I hope they wrap up this season’s mystery because I have a feeling the show won’t be returning – though I hope I’m wrong about that.
Fabulous Alert headquarters is hooked.
I meant to watch it, but my DVR messed up, so I’m going to wait until Season 1 is out on DVD.
So you are an idiot that can’t even figure out how to work a DVR…please, don’t bother with this show. Way beyond your comprehension.

Way to be a douche!

Is is that time of the month Karen?
Marathon on AMC on Sunday!! Try, try again.
I haven’t tried it but my parents have been watching and enjoying Rubicon so you aren’t entirely alone!
Anyone that names their child “Chelsea” is psychotic.

Karen honey, take your meds.
I haven’t watched it yet. I missed the start of the season because of the whole AMC-ATT U-verse deal. I’ve got the last 4 episodes on my DVR, and they are finally reshowing the first couple tomorrow morning. Now I wonder if I should bother getting invested in a show that’s circling the drain.
Quick tip: Nobody gives a pound of excrement about you or your horrifying life.
Liked the first 3 eps, loved the last 3. Do you speak Urdu? Awesome.
I watch it regularly and like it, but don’t love it. There is a fine line between slow and boring and a slow burn, and this series walks it. Defenders are going overboard invoking the snobbery of “You just don’t get it”. However, so many scenes are unnecessarily stretched out as if they think we don’t know that the slow burn is intentional and we need it emphasized every scene. I’m not expecting car chases and explosions, and I don’t want the “answers” to come artificially quickly, but I can’t help but feel a little cheated. They could fit two episodes worth of content into a single episode and not make the series feel rushed.
You just don’t get it. Loser.

You really should try to get a refund from that charm school.
@GregST: Could not agree more with what you wrote. Has anyone considered the fact that there may not be that much more to get? I think the characters are underdeveloped- especially Will- and the suspense leading up to the reveal is somewhat anticlimactic. What can we possibly find out that will live up to a show built entirely upon this sole mystery. Those of you who are quick to attack critics of the show seem to think tolerating the show’s deficiencies bestows some kind of badge of superior intellect upon you, but at the end of the day you’re the ones who are too dense to get it.
I love the show and don’t find it slow at all and I have the attention span of a gnat.
Not surprisingly, your groin area is the size of a gnat.

If you’re going to be one of those “gimmick” posters that purposely trolls everyone with insults, at least attempt to be creative
Ken, I’m with you. What others call boring I call atmospheric. It reminds of the old school 70s paranoid thrillers Hollywood used to turn out before the Spielberg/Lucas era. I hope Rubicon gets renewed.
