Guest star Olivia Munn will play Greta, a new Buy More exec, in the season premiere. But Munn will be only one of many rotating guest stars who’ll each manage the Buy More for an episode, now that it’s become an owned-and-operated CIA outfit.
“The search for Mom will be a big part of season four,” said Schwartz. “We’ve also learned about putting people between Chuck and Sarah.” So rest assured they will remain a couple. The panel commenced with a video of Jeffster performing Lady’s Gaga’s “Bad Romance.” Schwartz said jokingly that he’s been thinking of a Chuck spin-off: “Jeffster On The Lam,” he said, a new kind of adventure series.
If the panel — which included all the show’s stars, plus co-creators Schwartz and Chris Fedak — could be said to have a fan-fave, it was probably Adam Baldwin, who was showered with cheers and laughs at his every raised eyebrow. He also came in for some ribbing from his fellow cast-members. When Baldwin mentioned his Joss Whedon series Firefly, the cast rolled its collective eyes and someone remarked, “There he goes again, talking about his old shows.” Clearly, this is a cast that had bonded rock-solidly.

Jeffster on the lam could be brilliant. Especially if they focused on Vik Sahay, and deepened his character. He, in particular, needs more. Better. More and better writing.
Adam is the star! He’s hot, he’s funny, he can act rings around most everyone else and he has the fanbase to keep Chuck rolling along. I hope his character could hook up with Ellie. That would be fun. Devon would make a great bad-guy.

Ahhh Casey is my favorite character in Chuck…but as much as I LOVE Firefly I wish people would stop bringing it up every time Adam BAldwin or Nathan Fillion enter a room. Yes it was the biggest mistake of the millenium to cancel that show but it has been like 8 years, will we ever move on?

I’m so glad someone else thought the same. I don’t like Linda Hamilton as Mama Bartowski. She’s (Linda) pretty much the opposite of everything I think of when I think of who should play her (Mama B). Don’t get me wrong, I think Linda Hamilton is awesome, I just don’t think she’s the right one for the role, and it makes me feel like they’re trying to cash in on some geek cred, hoping that fans will go “Oh! Sarah Conner! I lurves her!”
I agree on Lynda Carter being the better choice. But the geek cred is equal (or almost equal) between both. But I think Lynda Carter would have done better rolling with the comical elements of the show than Linda Hamilton. The only way Linda will be successful is to be a straight-up bad person. Look how badly Brandon Routh did until he turned into a bad guy.
Hamilton a straight up bad guy? I don’t think so. Drill Instructors had a hard edge they have to maintain (“Drop and give me 20″) but they often rotate and (most of) the group realizes at the end of the day it’s for their benefit. I like Col. Casey but remember in the pilot he was assigned to “take out the intersect” (eliminate Chuck). Having a relationship b/w Casey and Moma Bartowski could lead to some akward moments.

Ditto. Thankfully, it sounds like she’ll only be able to ruin the one episode. I get that she’s on G4, so all the geeks are expected to think she farts rainbows, but surely there are other attractive women they could tap. You know, ones that can actually *act*

Good news but we all know that this show is not going to last another season anyways.
It might beat the odds, if it doesn’t suffer a Smallville decline.
Linda Hamilton may be miscast… Maybe not. Many of us could be judging based on the moment with her back turned to us, a moment that showed a woman a bit more feminine and elegant than we identify with Hamilton (one armed pullups, anyone?!)
I’m just glad the blunt force to the head got the message through that love triangles involving Chuck and Sarah DO NOT WORK!

Both Linda Hamilton and Linda Carter were on my “short list” of actresses I thought could pull off playing (hopefully superspy) Mama Bartowski … so glad to see they went with one of the Linda’s.
I’m also glad someone is finally acknowledging how much fan love there is for Adam Baldwin. He makes the show for me.
If I can’t have more Jayne Cobb, then I’ll take all the John Casey that I can get.

I think that Morgan would have more respect for Linda Hamilton as Moma Bartowski. Who knows, with the change in corporate culture at the Buy More, she might be able to get him to exchange his video game time for a membership in a Judo Dojo. It worked for Kato. (Morgan would do it Morgan’s way, of course.)
