“Men of a Certain Age” wowed me on every level. Andre Braugher would be good on “Shasta McNasty” for cryin’ out loud. But Ray Romano was a revelation. And Scott Bakula was his usual fine self. Plus, the marriage of Braugher and Lisa Gay Hamilton has to be up there with Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton as one of the best, most realistic, most natural marriages ever on TV.
I totally agree with you on Fringe. It’s my favorite TV show at the moment and I’m so excited for S3 after that amazing finale!
“Caprica”!! I’m still in mourning since BSG went off the air. We can’t count on the networks to invest in serialized high-concept shows anymore now that “Lost” is done. “Caprica” is the next best thing; inventive, smart, and well acted.
what happened to In The Middle. i love that show, i crack up every night. i was telling my sister about an episode and i was started laughing so much i started crying, when i finally told the story my sis laughed as hard. i love that show.
Ken Tucker, you make me want to watch Friday Night Lights.
Question though: I’ve always liked Community. Was there *such* a drastic improvement?
Glee and Lost are good calls. Fringe is terrible, as is Parks and Recreation. And Better off Ted is not even close to being as good as Arrested Development. Modern Family should be on that list, as should How I Met Your Mother and Nurse Jackie.
I loved the somewhat cerebral new series “Defying Gravity”, although it was pulled last fall after less than a dozen episodes. It starred Ron Livingston of “Office Space”.
Sir, Thank you for making watch Fringe after reading this Article. I have to admit that i wrote this show off after i watched the pilot 2 years ago I started watching from the very beginning. Now i reached the end of season 2 and wooooooow!! the show really evolved. It’s my Lost substitute : ) I hope S3 will explore the alternate universe storyline further.
Thank you soooooo much for making me watch it again
Sons of Anarchy
Breaking Bad
The IT Crowd
Damages
The Office
30 Rock
Better Off Ted
Mad Men
Weeds
Colbert Report
Futurama (new episodes)
@Christina Donovan,
I agree about Caprica. WTF? I got into the show and they cancelled it. Loved the characters and where the story was heading. I have seen a few shows I really liked that were cancelled after 1 season. Oh well.. Like my name says… IMO most TV sux anyway.
JUST WATCH FRINGE!!!!!!!!!!!!Itis PERFECT!!!
The only show I watch out of that list is Glee. Supernatural and How I met your mother are 2 of the best shows, they should be on there as well.
Deadwood
Spartacus
Dexter
Twin Peax
“old” Nikita
True Blood
Brothers & Sisters
House
Heroes
Thise are my favorites
Why hasn’t anyone mentioned Brothers and Sisters. This is a superb drama with diverse characters and compelling storylines.
All of the actors are excellent. The season finale was truly heartbreaking and delightful.
