I am NEVER disappointed with this show NEVER. There are so many people that make this show what it is. Lovely and moving. i love that Matt’s mother is one of my favorite characters on HBO’s Treme!
This show is awesome. Loved all of the acting this week and the little bits of humor – “why did you kill cobra’s beer?” Also liked the reference to Smash doing well in college. It’s nice to get even small updates on the former characters. Loved it.
Such a great episode, powerful, beautiful and just amazing. Absolutely love this show and would love for it to go on for another 4 seasons!
When I saw this on DirectTV, I bawled like a baby…and when I saw it on NBC, my reaction was the same. This was the BEST ep of this season…every reaction, every sentence, every actor was just perfect. Not overdone…Zach Gilford NEEDS AN EMMY!! Please, please, please!!!

Friday Night Lights is a series that lingers with you long after the credits begin to role. “The Son” is quite possibly the very best episode in a series that has been among the best in television history. Zach Gilford gives one of the finest small-screen performances ever. I’m a bit passionate about how practically perfect this show is…
This was my favority episode– Zach deserves an Emmy…
Thought the episode was consistent with the series…great! I do have a real problem this season and it’s name is Becky! I have disliked her from her introduction but wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. After this episode, she’s done! Calling Tim at someone else’s home, DURING A WAKE to whine about that crap contest! I couldn’t believe it! I know the beauty pagent was important to her but come on. Then she referred to Matt’s dad as”the dead guy” which infuriated me more. I hope Lyla puts her in her place this week and that Luke runs for the hills!
Simply the best television series.
Emmys needed.
I love this show. I have had nothing but praise for it since it started four years ago.
What got me was when Matt started digging the dirt at the burial site. I cried like a baby!! Great Episode. Love this show. Fan since the beginning!!!
