He can do whatever he wants, dude’s funny.

I heard Justin Timberlake is going to make a cameo. Maybe it will be something similiar to that ‘gay’ camping sketch he did with adam sandler in the sleeping bag.

    • Stacy

Yes! this season has been sorely lacking in JT cameos.

      • sally

I agree about JT. Heard he’s back in LA now though so maybe when he was in NY last week he filmed a digital short with Andy.

    I LOVE JOHN MULANEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish he would be a regular!

    • Johnification

And that L&O stuff was hilarious! Hope to hear some, plus a little fresh material about the show ending.

He’s one of my favorite comedians! He should definitely be a regular or at least continue his segments on weekend update. The Law and Order bit has always been my favorite.

  • erin

What he should do is go off-script and improvise everything he says and does in every skit he’s in, because that’s bound to be hella funnier than anything those hack writers come up with.

We need another schwety balls sketch

    • Heather

Agreed — get Betty White back this week and have a discussion of balls vs muffins!

You can bet that you will!!!

SNL season finales tend to be disappointing. It’s like the well of material has run dry by then. I’m hoping for the best, but not expecting much.

My gut tells me that that is just not true and that SNL season finales actually tend to be among the best of the season. The Will Ferrell-hosted finale last season may in fact have been THE best for that year.

  • WTF

What should Baldwin do? With special guest star Adam Sandler, he should do Canteen “Man”.

  • ss06

He should disappear – so sick of him.

What’s the point of making suggestions for a show that airs tonight? Think they’ll add some last minute changes based on EW posts?

    • mel

I think it’s just to talk amongst ourselves, the fans, on what we’d like/hope to see. What you think even we did this earlier, that SNL would actually listen to us?
      *eyeroll*

I’ll record it so I can watch Tom Petty.

John Mulaney is massively hot-I lurve him!

The host of the season finale should always be a veteran: Baldwin, Walken, Martin, Goodman, Hanks…or White.

  • chaz

SNL brings back Alex Baldwin? you suppose he could redo that drunk routine he did with his daughter? that should help to define his charactor

  • Juan

Is anyone watching this live? It’s bad. Horribly, horribly bad. If this is what made it to air, then the other skits must have blown. It’s a good thing Tom Petty is there to save the show.

    • forrest

Ouch. This is really reminding me why I hate SNL now. Usually its just too much Kristen Wig. Tonight its just bad writing…..again.

    • meg

yeah, that was supremely awful. i never thought it could be THAT bad. i figured: alec baldwin, i watch him every week on 30 rock and he’s funny, clearly talented. but he could not rise above the bad, bad, total-failure writing from this week’s show.

someone else said he was cue-card heavy, and i wonder if he just gave up and didn’t bother trying too hard since the writing was such a mess.
