'Justified,' 'The Good Wife,' 'Southland,' 'Parenthood,' 'V': Which will you watch/DVR tonight at 10?

Hoo boy, Tuesday night causes one of those viewer headaches: What show will you watch in real time, and which ones will you DVR?

This week, The Good Wife is a rerun, so that lessens the problem a bit. But what about the rest?

• Are you craving more Timothy Olyphant in the second week of Justified? (I should hope so.)

• Are you caught up in the intricate police work of Southland? (I thought last week’s Ann Biderman-written episode was tremendously exciting.)

• Are you still sampling Parenthood? (I’m pulling for this show, despite the fact that its ratings are falling. Lauren Graham!)

• Will you be glued to the returning V? ABC is airing a series recap tonight to prepare you for next week’s new episodes. (This is the one that feels more like homework than entertainment to me.)

I’m very curious to know what you’ll be watching/recording at 10 p.m. Please let me know below. Thanks.

I DVR original Good Wife and Parenthook.

    • Karen B

      oops, ParenthooD

      • Katrina

why isn’t there a vote box? That would be easier for everyone!

I had to give up on Parenthood – I watch Southland, Justified and the Goodwife. Actually, I DVR everything; so I can watch it when I want – and if there is a conflict – I DVR Justified’s later episode – they always run it twice.

What is up with so many reruns on the Good Wife? Isn’t it like -3 weeks on, 1 (or more weeks off) I’m getting disgusted with that. Out of ideas already? I hope not.

      • WhoMe

Idiot it has nothing to do with them(writers, producers) being out of ideas, it’s cbs and they’re scheduling

      • ej

wow..really? idiot? a little harsh no?

      • Reason

No, AD is definitely an idiot.

    • LOL

I’ll be watching LOST until 10:06. After that, flipping over to SportsCenter on ESPN.

I’ve given up on Parenthood, dull as hell, too many characters w/o any interesting or original storylines. I am a Lauren Graham fan though, wish she’d find something better to do.

Tonight will be Justified, and sadly perhaps some American Idol, I hate every last one of them but it’s kind of like watching a horrible accident so I’ll keep watching for now. If only to be able to bitch about it the next morning.

    • blingiesha

Also, if there are original episodes of Good Wife, it will always win!

    • Val

I’ll be watching Justified and ignoring Parenthood. Mainly because I can go stand in a school parking lot if I want to watch kids act like assholes to their parents just to have the parents act like it’s cute. I don’t need to watch it on my TV, too.

    • ej

Parenthood is great. Well written and great acting. Definitely my new favorite show. Also watch Southland and Justified I DVR later. I wish more people would give Parenthood a look.

  • BP

Plus, Lost will be 6 minutes longer, so if you dont have a DVR, you will miss the first 6 mins of the 9/10 PM show. GRRRR. Anyway, I am taping (yes, taping) Southland and watching Justified and I will catch V online.

    • lee

Hey, BP — me too! I tape all the time — and, on VHS!

    • proffesor-chaos

I DVR all my shows because I hate commercials. Can’t miss The Good Wife but luckily it’s a repeat. V is only a recap so I’ll wait til next week. Justified and Southland get DVR”d when they are repeated on TNT & FX because Lost is going past 10pm

      • EW Fanatic

exactly. You can easily keep Justified and Southland because they are repeated. Tonight will also include V and Parenthood, but when Good Wife is new, I will drop Parenthood. Always DVR everything!

  • ana

    I’ll be watching Southland!

    • Hillary

southland at 10:00, justified at 11. I love that the cable networks re-run just aired episodes. no need to wait for hulu or pay on itunes

Since THE GOOD WIFE is a repeat, I will go for PARENTHOOD, which I like butthink that the ending each week wraps up everything in too warm of a family moment. It needs just a little more drama, a little less sugar.

  • Rachel K

I DVR The Good Wife and V at 10 and then DVR Justified at 11 when it comes on again and Southland at 1 in the morning. Everything is just too good, i want it all!

    • Auth

Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well. But cihctang up on TV shows sounds like a great way to distract yourself from a nasty cold. I don’t watch much TV these days (we don’t have a DVR, so I rely mostly on Hulu), but I do make a point to keep up with Parenthood, and I love it too for all the reasons you listed.Feel better!

  • Jim

Tuesday at 10 is packed all of a sudden! I have a huge loyalty to FX and Justified, but Southland is just superb.

  • dana

Southland is the priority for me.
Watch it live then on DVR the following day.

  • Justin K

I love Parenthood. I will watch it forever- it’s a simplified version of Brothers and Sisters- seems more realistic.

  • Gigi

I’ll watch Southland live, dvr V next week to see if I still want to stay with it, then watch Justified when it re-airs immediately after it’s showing. If V doesn’t get better soon, I’m ditching it.

  • Jada

Southland wins the DVR contest, no questions.

  • petuniafromhell

Southland, hands down!!!! Can’t loose it again!

  • modernfamfan

I’ll DVR Southland, Justified and Parenthood so they can be enjoyed perfectly–without commercials and on my time! Next week, with The Good Wife back, this will get even harder. Yeah, I’m done with V. I would have stuck with it but the hiatus screwed the pooch. There’s better shows to watch in life!

  • SaraK

Watching Southland, will DVR and catch up on Parenthood over the weekend.
