I think what Tebows mother did was great. That just shows you can’t always go with the Dr’s. verdict. There is a higer power.

    • DEB

Then I guess it’s OK for the Higher Power to rip a different pregnant mother from her husband (and maybe already existing children), because she went against doctor’s advice. Just gotta take that roll of the dice withJesus.

      • Jordan

what the what are you even talking about.

      • Allison

I believe Deb is talking about all of the women who go against their doctor’s wishes and die, likely losing the baby anyway. Not every story like this turns out great.

Let’s absorb the good and throw the bad… Ad… go Tebow

That black guy was freaked out!

what this ad does is remind women what pro-CHOICE really means… they can CHOOSE between carrying the pregnancy or terminating it. if we only saw ads sanctioning termination, that wouldn’t tell women they have much of a CHOICE, now would it? there must be TWO or more options before there can be choice. way to go CBS for sticking with this ad.

I find it somewhat amusing and very very frustrating that both sides of this issue act like victims. We hear one side whining about all the ‘conservative propaganda’ and that it doesn’t belong on TV and the other side saying basically the same thing about liberal propaganda. If any one thinks their side isn’t being heard, just ask the other side. I don’t think anyone needs to worry about any kind of media not being liberal enough, and those of us that are conservative will always have news and entertainment sources too.

The website scares me. I knew a young women who was advised to get an abortion for medical reasons. She didn’t. The baby was fine. She is dead. She left behind 3 young children.

    • Austin

Your point? She made a choice. Isn’t that what you “pro-choicers” are all about?

      • Meghan

The website basically says “go for a miracle” It worked for us. Most don’t get the miracle, they get a coffin. I know this. I’ve seen it. The website could cause more deaths.

    • SMS

This is the story that needs to be told. Not everyone who “chooses life” lives.

That’s my problem with this pro-life propaganda ad. Failure to tell both sides of this story.

      • @Austin

The “point” is that not every woman who disregards a doctor’s advice is going to live and have a famous son and the ad seems to say “if a doctor tells you you’ll die without an abortion, that’s not true – you’ll both be fine”. Kind of a dangerous message.

  • Pm

Excellent! The message needs to be heard – life is a precious gift from God – not any man. Thanks, Tebows & Focus.

I’ve heard it said before, “After 2000 yrs. Jesus Christ is still intimidating people.” The word choice does have a meaning just as we were given a free will. You can do right or you can do wrong. The day will come for every human being when they meet Him @ death & you will be shown how your life would have been if we simply followed His laws & decrees. Look at this country & the mess it is in-all the aborted babies are crying out for God’s revenge on the world. A lot to ponder. We can choose to change & it begins with rejecting evil turning back to our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.

“all the aborted babies are crying out for God’s revenge on the world”
      Really??????
If you were the preacher for my church I would never go again.

The Planned Parenthood ad was beautiful and all encompasing. The Tebow ad says” If you make a decision other than the one I made you’re going straight to hell.

    • Austin

Really, you got that from that? Sounds like someone’s feelings of guilt are clouding their judgment. :)

      • @Austin

Wow, sounds like someone is going to harass all of the pro-choice posters in this thread :)

      • Amy Darnell-Fuchs

No feelings of guilt here. I just know what Focus on the Family is all about….

I really respect Tim Tebow and his mother for putting themselves out there for what this contrevsial issue. We need to stand by our mothers, and sisters for what ever decision they plan to make. My sister was forced into making the most important decision in her life and was unable to communicate her feeling because of the social stigma with abortion, and in 2002 she took her own life!! Thank you Tim and mother for your message! Mchael Zallie

  • Tom

religion has no place ANYWHERE AT ALL!!

    • Austin

Thank you for your interesting, if not entirely pointless contribution.

  • annalc

I’m pretty sure that was just the pre-game ad – I thought they said there were two and one would be played before the game, one during the game.

  • Robert

So basically, in response to a 30-second ad that never mentioned abortion, Planned Parenthood released a 68-second ad with two ex-athletes hoping their daughters abort their grandchildren?

  • Rod Brown

Aren’t you glad that your mother was pro-life

    • Maggie

My mom is pro-choice. She choose to have me. I am not an accident. I am wanted.

  • megan

who cares? 99% percent of people know where they stand on this issue and some suck ass football player isn’t going to change their mind. I’m so sick of the abortion debate. there is so much going on in the world, and all we do is talk about abortion!! let’s focus on saving all the children that are already alive on this planet than freaking out about stupid superbowl commercials that no one will remember in two days!!!

    • Domino

      Amen to that sister!!!!
