I agree about giving Spike a series and saving Better Off Ted (why is this languishing on Tuesdays when they have a slot on Wednesday?).
I also want music videos back on MTV (and I wish they’d do another A-Z marathon; has it really been 10 years?), Glee to give Tina a decent storyline (and Shaft to get a line period), networks to give shows a chance, Jeff Zucker to be replaced with someone competent, and closure for My Name Is Earl.
And if MTV does show videos again, they need to go back to the old video titles.
glad to see that there’s someone else out there who wants a follow-up for Earl to tie up the loose ends!
Agree, I would love a closure to Earl. I think TBS could do it proud if they decided to do so!
I want to see Alex O’Loughlin in a show that is worthy of his talent, preferably on a cable net — something with the punch of The Shield, and never again on some lame CBS show like Three Rivers.
I want a great show for Alex also,
but not on cable, because we might
not get it in Canada. Alex should
be in an action role. If CBS listened to his fans for once, they
could find a show for him, worthy
of his amazing acting talent.
Sorry I’ve got to disagree. My TV wish for 2010 is that Castle gets renewed because that is the best cop procedural since Law and Order!
I not only want a series pick up of Game of Throne, I want an episode or two before years end! Call me greedy and impatient if you like. I’m good with that. Og and don’t listen to the meh comment about the newer books. A Feast for Crows is GRRMs best writing to date. It just doesn’t feature the main characters of the story. Give the series a shot. It’ll knock your socks off!
Heh other than GoT, I’d like a celeb version of Amazing Race, an explanation to the 6 toed foot and smoke monster before lost wraps up and non-Twilight looking werewolves on the next season of Trueblood. Oh yeah! I also want an early Eagles superbowl win!
1. That True Blood stays original
2. Amazing Race stays amazing. Soooo much better than Survivor or Big Brother.
3. See Sue Sylvester REALLY bring the claws out in the second half. Oh, a little Rachel and Puck along with Will and Emma.
4. That Michael Kors and Nina Garcia are on every episode of Project Runway. I need Nina’s “That’s tasteless” comments.
5. That The Office gets it’s swagger back. We need some Dwight and Angela action. Plus, bring back Holly.
I love Castle, keep Castle in Castle.
I will miss Lost but I’m with you, they really need to end with a mind explosion and not with a question mark.
Fringe is awesome, but it needs a different time slot.
Community is awesome and needs to keep it up.
The American version of The Office has never been as funny as the overseas version. It never will be.
The original British Office is barely watchable. It’s broad and garish and difficult to understand. Steve Carrel and the American cast have gone light years beyond the British version.
sorry, you are crazy, as much as I love my American version of the Office, the original British version is one of those shows (like Arrested Development) that are just perfection, one of the funniest shows ever!
How about EW talks about something else besides American Idol while it is on?
Agreed!
I like your thinking, but I don’t hold out much hope that it will happen.
As long as Jensen gives extensive Lost coverage, and as long as EW doesn’t produce another American Idol-central issue, I can deal with the overindulgence of American Idol. It’s only fair. Besides, I seriously can’t understand why numerous EW readers hate the Lost coverage (in terms of TV shows) but barely call out American Idol as well. But whatever…
It helps that Lost is scripted television and still technically more recent than American Idol. Perhaps general Idol fatigue? I don’t watch either show, though.
Kill off Debra on Dexter and Lt LaGuerta. They are just as annoying as Rita was.
Agreed about Deb – havent liked her since season 1!!!
I actually think Deb’s character got better since season 1, as opposed to the uninteresting newbie she started off as when the series began. She should definitely stay.
LaGuarta could be a more interesting character, but the writers don’t know what to do with her most of the time. As a result, she’s put through some pretty bad plotlines.
i would like SUPERNATURAL to get the credit it deserves for being such a good tv show!!
& bones and booth as a couple!!!
1) Get rid of Leno.
2) Get rid of Cowell. I would hate to replace him with Ben Folds and then have the show go in the dumper and everybody blame it on Ben Folds. But otherwise… Ben F was great. Simon is a moron.
3. Get rid of all reality programming in which no talent other than eating bugs or being obnoxious is involved. No Housewives or anybody + 8 or celebutantes or anything which includes Donald Trump. Project Runway and Top Chef can stay. American Idol is on probation until and unless they can get better music choices for their contestants and the producers take their thumbs off the scale.
4) Save Better Off Ted. It’s actually funny. What a concept.
5) Let Fox not be on anybody’s cable. Time-Warner, Comcast, plus dishes and broadcast… Let’s give lifeboats to Glee and House and then let Fox die, taking Glenn Beck and Bill O and all of their ilk down with the ship.
6. More Mad Men. More Law & Order: Criminal Intent, with Goren and Eames, please.
That’ll do me.
Add James Marsters to the cast of that imaginary Joss Whedon show and I’d definitely spring for Showtime.
Marsters is a recurrer on CAPRICA, so we’ll be seeing him again pretty soon.
Replace Jay Leno with some good drama or comedy.
ABC recognize when it has good shows – ie, Pushing Daisies, Life and Eli Stone – and STOP CANCELLING THEM and start promoting them! (for example – Better of Ted?)
Life is from NBC. But it still deserved to finish its run and not get killed by Jay Leno.
Ken, you’re aware that HBO passed on Last Of The Ninth over a year ago, right? That project is dead.
for 2010, i’d like to see Desperate Housewives return to the pace and comedic genius it had in its first season. I hope Ugly Betty regains its fan base when it moves to Wednesday night. I have been watching it online this season, and it’s been so good. I would love to see Eva Longoria and Vanessa Williams win Emmys for the brilliant comedic timing on DH and UB.
