Use to be about talent, now it’s how to shock. Nothing wrong with that but you people who think he’s all that will drop him like a hot rock when the next glam queen hits.

    • kim

You got that right. All you gotta do is look at him and you know you’re dealing with a temperary flash in the pan. His career up to this point is just hype and disappointment.

This what I wrote on AOL. My view on:
Elizabeth is self right woman, who’s thinks she all that and we show all listen to her! To me, she not real host or journalist, just big mouth the b word! I’m sorry for swearing! I am so tried of this! I love Adam Lambert very much. So what I am 37 years old bi female that adores him! Adam helps so many people so far. Other people just want put him down and gang up! I will fight Adam. Fight is on Elizabeth! I am sorry if sound dumb to you people. Adam has open my eyes about things! To all Adam fan(Glamberts): we should love him nor what!

P.S. I wish that Rosie was there. Whoopi and Barbara will good. Just not trust Elizabeth!

Can’t stand Elizabeth. Not because she is concervative. The show needs all sides to work. I dislike her on the show, because she is dumb.

Adam is going on the View but folks watch what Barbara (I had an affair with a married man and then wrote a book about it) does on that interview. I think Babs is more about lecturing him on 10 fascinating people and then wants to serve him up to the ladies on the view for more. After watching these two interviews then I’ll know if I want to ban ABC from my viewing stations completely.

    • @Chance

Ban ABC? Because Adam’s behaving badly and won’t own up to it? Your must be trying to be a bigger jerk than he is. You’ve got everything all twisted. You mean to tell me that if you crossed the line and did something totally unprofessional on your job, then the job is wrong? You must be retarded or something.

Well, they used to film Elvis from the waist-up. Adam poses a predicament, however, because his lips might meet another dude’s.
    Ridiculous.
Nevertheless, I liked the comments made by Sherri and Joy and was surprisingly unfazed by Elisabeth’s.
Speak up, Rosie wherever you are.

  • Shannon

Some people are afraid of what he might do? In other words, display homosexual behavior? This is the textbook definition of homophobia, just in case either the FCC or ABC would like to know. I’m guessing, however, that they would not.

Adam Lambert needs to realize that “being wild” (like he said on an Oprah interview) doesn’t work, especially his kind of wild…
Surely doesn’t translate in album sales, not in this music industry…
He needs to tone it down, big time…
One suggestion will be; they don’t want him live, then he should perform a live concert…”for free”…in the Hollywood Bowl, with all of his FYE songs and some popular covers…
That could work…especially if it’s advertised well and covered by a smaller network….
Since the “big ones” are “afraid” of him…
    Tell us what you think??…
    That will tell

    • mike

That was a profound statement, “his kind of wild.” The problem is that with all his talent, he looks, sounds, and acts too feminine for America’s tastes. Sure, his fans love him, but seriously, America has never, and will never dig some guy queening it up on stage. It will be nearly impossible for him to “tone it down” as you say. His stance, and that of his fans is you’re going to love him whether you like it or not. That’s why he’s not selling any records.

      • RR3

        I agree…

  • mike

It looks like the hype is dying down. All you Adam fans are finally going to face something that you can’t defend: the reality that Adam is only relevant when the media is talking about him. He wil eventually become an oddity, a celebrity side show freak who never filfilled the promise.

  • Lei

they are such a bunch of old biddies

    • Troll

Yes they are. But is this comment some lame attempt at praising Adam by dissin’ the view? Pathetic, but expected.

  • Gayer Than Thou

I’ve been thinking a lot about all the negative reactions I’ve been reading throughout all the AL threads since the album and the AMA performance, and — factoring out all the homophobic insanity — I’m wondering if all the negative posters aren’t right about one thing, and that is: might Adam’s reception have been different if he’d defined himself clearly in a certain way, for instance, as “the glam rocker”? I’ve played Adam’s cd back to back with Chris Daughtry’s cd, and while I don’t like all the songs on Daughtry’s album the way I do Adam’s, there is no mistaking who Chris is as an artist: a meat-and-potatoes rock balladeer. Lambert’s decision to mix pop and dance and power ballads makes for a really fun album, but as an introduction to the artist, it doesn’t nail down his identity. And America doesn’t like ambiguity. With his voice, a first album full of sweeping, heartfelt ballads like “Time For Miracles” would have played to his strengths and made everybody think of Adam as a new Steve Perry (of Journey) maybe. Then he could have started branching out on album #2. Wish I could slip into an alternate reality where that actually happened to see how it played out. Since I can’t, I’m signing out of this conversation altogether. Whether you are a fan, neutral, or a flat-out hater, I wish you all a happy, healthy life full of good times and good music — whatever that means to you.

  • Mary Utrup

So Barbara Walters thinks people are afraid of Adam Lambert. Did she NOT watch that completely demeaning redition of what he calls a song? Parents and people of integrity SHOULD be afraid of Adam Lambert! He pulls all the rest of us down by his mindless actions.

  • Shirley Bornschlegl

Adam, you have GREAT talent but you what you did on AMA really embarrassed and disappointed me. And I was really looking forward to seeing you perform again. I don’t care at all about your sexual preferences (and I’m a conservative). I just don’t like to see ANY performer do those things. Also, I watched The View once – too many talkers & interruptors. Those gals love to hear their own voices & have absolutely NO LISTENING skills…can’t stand them. If they’d shut up, they might learn something from people whose opinions are different from theirs (like that’s ever gonna happen)

  • ianaleah

    You think he won’t
    I think he will
    The choice is Adam’s
    It’s his reality.

  • Kelly

You greatly underestimate Adam Lambert, he knows how to stay in the present and that is enough.Am happy ’bout that.

  • ianaleah

you say he won’t, but I say he will. Definitely will. Adam is creating his life, if he messes up, he fixes it up. We all can.

  • Marcy

Wrong.Adam has had years of experience being tough, moving on, hs grew up gay .in good old usa , after all.
