This morning on The View, Barbara Walters said that this Thursday’s appearance by Adam Lambert will be taped in advance, rather than live-to-tape as usual, “because people seem to be afraid of what he’ll do.”
Sherri Shepherd laughed at this excessive caution. “Why?” she asked. “Is he gonna take one of our heads and grind it into his crotch?”
Joy Behar, perhaps feeling a tad faint as this image entered her mind, said, “I wish he would. I’d like to see it up close.”
And although no one asked her, Elisabeth Hasselbeck said, “The only thing I was against was him sticking his hand up the woman’s crotch” during the American Music Awards.

Could it be Ken was trying to be funny? Elisabeth is arguably the least-liked person on the panel as she is so close-minded and ultra-conservative, and perhaps Ken was aware of this and her recent take on the AMA performance.

i’m a moderate, find both sides’ radicals annoying (and would like to add that she is *not* even a radical– but often would appear like one since she’s the only conservative on the show) and thoroughly agree with EWsMom’s statement (not that anybody asked me or anything).

Just because a person has a more reserved viewpoint and is a conservative doesn’t mean that she’s less liked than the others. Obviously those people who are liberal aren’t going to like her but there are other conservatives in the world besides her that like to have someone to speak on their behalf when the other women on the show will stop shoving their viewpoints down our throats long enough to let her get a word in edgewise. And conservative doesn’t mean close-minded. I think she’s probably plenty open-minded just not in today’s cultures way of thinking.

Agree – everyone is entitled to their opinion w/o being called names. But I DO wish Ken had called out EH for backpedaling on her original opinion of Adam’s performance (it’s on tape). Adam is being pre-recorder largely because he can’t be in two places at hone time. He is booked like crazy for the next two weeks!! I am just glad to see Adam perform anywhere, anytime. ABC will stop the BS soon enough.

That is right, and that was announced in the first/early reports of his being scheduled. He’s scheduled forSt Paul MN,yesterday, then NY on the 11th and Miamion the 12th, Tampa on the 13th Larry king on on the 10th wherever that is. Mostly it’s the Jingle Bells circuit this month. He also did or is going to do the celebrity only audience-for some award for Steven Speilberg for some hugh honor Speilberg is getting.

Wow, I hope your day gets better, no reason to go around calling people morons. And Elizabeth has had some not nice things to say about Adam in the past, so I think this is what Ken was referring to. Reading these posts and participating is becoming difficult because people are so angry all the time, we have these alternate personalities that make us say things to each other in print we would never say to another person’s face. Anyway, I hope your day gets better and I’m looking forward to seeing how ABC handles this, taped or not. Adam is anything but dull!

True, and tho I adore Adam & not Elizabeth, I actually agree with her that Adam should focus on his singing. He is sexy just standing there at mic. And no one can touch his singing: Rem: Ring of Fire, Feeling Good, Change is Gonna Come, Whole Lotta Love,Life on Mars’ etc. flawless perfection incredible outstanding -all the words by judges and mentors. Adam is all that and all he needs is a mic and his band. Adam Lambert is great, his album is a diamond, and his fans are all warm hearted open minded people-he has the best of the best for support and no one can top that. We can look at each other and know we are in the very best company. Adam Lambert is a spirit of love, definitely.

I think that Barbara Walters had a lot to do with Adam being on THE VIEW and I think that a BIG THANK U SHOUT OUT goes her way. I think Elisabeth actually stumbles across an interesting point when she mentions being bothered by his hand and the woman’s crotch. Yet, the only things referenced when the majority cry about his offensiveness is the crotch move and the kiss – both male / male.
