It was a non-mythology episode of Fringe this week, with a dandy creature to grapple with and a Walter Bishop subplot that turned into the Read the full post.

It’s criminal that John Noble doesn’t have an Emmy nomination. It’s amazing to me how in one scene, his performance can go from funny to heartbreaking to chilling.
Wonderful show. I really hope more people catch on soon.
Loved, loved, loved this episode!! From Peter’s comment to Olivia that maybe she should get to know him better, to Walter wanting to be self-sufficient, and realizing at the lab what the cost was, when he saw what happened to Astrid because of his actions. There was some really powerful acting in that scene, I confess I teared up also. Nice continuity of the daredevil theme – last season Olivia runs in to investigate without backup, this time Peter runs in without backup! And they each say to someone else to ‘stay there and don’t move’…..above all, Walter, who stole the show. Fringe just gets better and better. I did miss that Olivia didn’t get to say as much, and I couldn’t snack during this episode – I like that rule, don’t eat while watching Fringe!
Yes, I did watch. And I loved that Noble was given more to do than just be the addled character we look forward to seeing. He really is the heart of Fringe. All the actors are excellent but Noble is the glue that holds the series together. Without him Fringe would be a run-of-the-mill series.
