Not enough Kramer. Also, they beat to death both the Mocha Joe and the ring stain.
That being said, loved seeing the Jerry apt & Monk’s sets again.
Liked the switch @ the end between Elizabeth Shue and Cheryl.
As a previous commenter said, the read-thru from last week was far superior to anything else, & Newman popping in was priceless.
Overall, not a bad finale.
Hmm… Right. First things first. This season has been quite brilliant. Contrary to what someone has said episodes with the wheelchair women and the black swan are two of the all time classics. The table reading was hilarious (best in this season) but the finale was not what we all wanted. What was the perfect finale? Simple: the reunion show itself. How perfect would have that been? This last episode should have been the one before the last.
I watched this season of Curb for the promise of Seinfeld and I enjoyed Jerry, Julia, and Jason. I am not sure how I feel about Leon and his family and Michael Richards, I’m not really offended but I feel like I should be which is also how I feel about Larry not necessarily for the same reason. I thought the non ending for the Seinfeld ending was better than the overthought ending of the Seinfeld finale.
Larry: “E for effort, Mocha Joe. E for Effort!”
Mocha Joe: “F for favor Larry. F for favor!”
Jerry: “And C for coffee”
I laughed out loud with that exhange.
The last episode left me wanting more- more of both shows.
So missed!
The best!
Thought Curb was great, but the Seinfeld reunion was a little weak. I was expecting to see a lot more of the Seinfeld crew then was aired. I’m hoping that they actually filmed that as a full Seinfeld episode and will air it sometime in the future!?!?!
Wow. I’m a casual Curb fan (I really didn’t even watch last season), but I thought this season was great, the penultimate episode fatastic, and the finale spectacular. Everything I wanted. I thought it was perfect.
No Leon…my favorite recurring guest on the show. But that’s ok…I have a feeling Larry didn’t want to take away from the pseudo-Seinfeld reunion.
Funkhousers joke, the Leon affair that Larry got dragged into, and the ‘rash’ theme were the three standout highlights of the season.
I enjoyed how well Jerry and Larry get along…was a nice change to have someone that wasn’t completely annoyed by Larry.
“You don’t loan Jason anything. Anything that can be inserted.”
“I was adopted by some lovely Jews.”
“You gotta recharge the Mitzvah…so you always keep your Mitzvah kinda full…Capacity…Capcity uh uh Mitzvah…Capacity.”
Anyone want to comment on the piece in Episode 9 where Larry (as the writer/producer of Curb) is obviously trying to vindicate Michael Richards from the N-word situation a while back. “If only there were a horrible name that I could call you that would make you as angry I as I am…” I think the idea there was that the heckler at the comedy set ticked off Michael Richards so much that he wanted to reciprocate…therefore the N-word. Doesn’t justify it, but still…when folks get really angry they sometimes say things they regret. And then apologize.
TYVM you’ve sloevd all my problems
Touchdown! That’s a really cool way of putitng it!
Thank you, I have just been looking for info approximately this topic for a long time and yours is the greatest I have discovered till now. But, what in regards to the bottom line?
