I disagree with the set looking like flimsy cardboard, Ken. In fact, I’m usually surprised at what the designers are able to create on a limited budget.
Hmm were to begin the hospital usually isn’t seen unless someone is shot, as for Olivia most fans don’t like Olivia or her 10 minutes of screen time about nothing anymore than you and anyone else who started watching today to see Franco.

The show isn’t focused on the hospital anymore. Basically, everything revolves around Sonny and Jason and their lives. That’s okay if they wouldn’t have Sonny/Jason so connected. Be more like Y&R and Jack/Victor type.
I enjoyed Franco and tuned back in for that.

Wow,I’m impresses that on first view you saw what people are complaining about and why most fans left GH. It is not about a hospital but ALL about the mob.
Wonder if GH figured out that they can bring in MORE viewers with adding more of the hospital.
I think the mob needs to be rested and the hospital needs to be added more.
They have 2 doctors Robin and Patrick who need to get a story and a DECENT amount of airtime not just the mob.
In case you didn’t know Robin Scorpio-Drake is a vet who has been on GH as a child and yet ignored as a character. My grandma, mom and myself would like to see more of Robin with her husband Patrick and her baby Emma. Robin is the 1st HIV character on GH, yet gets ignored.
Also fans like myself are annoyed that the cops NEVER win on GH because the mob ALWAYS as to win. In which case some fans have now turned OFF GH.
Sure GH will be down in ratings again as soon as this STUNT with Franco is over.
GH needs writers not PLOT POINT writers and needs to get story without stunts and sleeze.
I applaud you for seeing what fans have been seeing for a LONG time GH is not about the hospital
I love all of the negative haters out there… what are you all doing with your lives other than rip a emmy winning show that is a soap opera… (it is not real) so on a positve note, I LOVE GH and keep up the great work… MJ
It’s an emmy winning show because it submits two episodes out of the year that they throw the bells and whistles into to impress – and they succeed. Watch the whole year, take it all into context, and it’s a sad, caricature of the show it used to be. For those of us who have been fans of the show for years (meaning 20 – 30 years), seeing what it has become over the last decade, is a shame. And it isn’t because of the talent on screen – it’s because of the lack of talent off screen, and a network that doesn’t seem to care.
I love GH! with or without Franco, the show has plenty of scenes at the hospital and ya a lot of it is about the mob but remember.. its a soap!! you dont like it dont watch
The only surprise on today’s shootout- Jason only used one gun. He usually shoots with both hands in their infamous shootout in Port Upchuck dreck.
I haven’t watched this show since the original Lucky left either, and it was REALLY DIFFICULT to watch this show live. Definately DVR worthy, so that we can fast foward through all the boring storylines and focus on the good stuff. James Franco was awesome as usual!
All you need to know about Olivia is that she is terrible in a sense I can’t stand her because all she does it babble about the same damn thing all the time.
IF there are hospital scenes, it’s because someone is dying, sick, pregnant, working at the hospital. i mean people go there often in life, on GH. but if theyre in the hospital, you can almost always count it’s a boring scene involving Patrick Drake & Robin Scorpio Drake. you really should start watching General Hospital prior to Franco’s air date. He was on the DAY BEFORE they said he was going to be on. You are not a good Franco fan.
I love GH…but Olivia is a terrible. Please get rid of her!! Although I LOVE Dante, I can’t wait for it to come out that he’s a cop/Sonny’s son. So sick of this storyline.
