It's amazing how so much can be said about nothing. It's all garbage and is the reason why I gave up TV for better pursuits. What a pure waist of time and mental attention. No wonder we're in such a mess.

SNL has gotten so bad I'm amazed it's still around. I understand that the show has gone through ups and downs before, and that a lot of talent left when Will Ferrell and friends moved on to bigger things, but why can't SNL find decent talent anymore? This drought is the longest in memory. The writing is bad, and many of the stars are just not funny people.

I love Mad Men, and I really want to like January but this episode was a train wreck. The underlying theme (other than homosexual fear) was that January Jones is hot! Which is true and could be great for one sketch but not the entire show.

I felt the worst because, on her interview with Jimmy Fallon, she was funny and had some good sketch ideas, which apparently got completely turned down by the writers. I would have LOVED to see her in a fat suit and bringing back Da Bears skit! She is like a sporty tom boy and they didn't let her do ANY of that!!!!

This episode was the worst, and by a mile! But I do hope that people realize the fault did not lay on her, this is the writers fault and they are RUINING this season! When you only have one actress to fall back on for every skit (read the article about Wiig in EW a few weeks back) no one who is willing to take risks any more, fire the best new actress on the show from last season, and introduce a bunch of very lackluster new talent, what do you expect?

They need to do a revamp of the show fast. Did all the good writers go for on screen roles in 30 Rock? I can't blame them for wanting to abandon ship, but I'm becoming embarrsssed to call myself a fan of this show. Talk about brand loyalty. It's wearing thin!

No matter how bad SNL is one night (and Saturday's was pretty bad), Seth Meyers never, ever drops the ball. Ever. And if he ever did, at least we'll still get to see...*sigh*...Seth.

I totally agree. They need to bring back Tina Fey.
The jokes are sophomoric and seem to be aimed at 13 yr. old boys. And they go on and on and on. Fire the writers STAT!

The funniest part was when Fred Armisen said that he like Peggy better than Betty Draper during the monologue. One of those jokes that only some people get, which are always the best.

I agree that Taylor Swift had the best SNL episode so far this season. Gerard Butler's jokes grew weaker and weaker as you went through, Drew Barrymore was really good, but all of Taylor Swift's sketches save for the final one where she did the whole extremely close roomates thing, were hilarious, i was surprised.

I really wanted to see January Jones be smart, sassy and funny. She wasn't and the writing on the show was worse. I switched channels after 35 minutes!
