I am like you, the CSI Miami does not provide the intellectual stimulation that orginal provides.

I enjoyed it. I was hoping that CBS would bring the shows together again. I like seeing all of the teams work together. It was great. Need more of CSI teams working together. It sould be a reunion each year. I will be follwing all of there moves. Thanks CBS

CSI Miami is the only one I watch on a regular basis. I am a forensic tech, and this show is a perfect example of what NOT to do at a crime scene. I just can’t help myself though…there is something about Horatio Caine (the character) that fascinates me. Caruso in person (I have met him a couple of times now) is an egotistical jerk who needs mental help.

  • csifan

Same here, I watch the original CSI. And it was the first time I watched an episode of the Miami branch and I can’t say it’s anywhere as good as the original. That Horatio dude has some serious neck problems and I can’t believe they roped “Morpheus” into doing this crossover.

  • Raider One

Er..what are you talking about? Petersen “would never have agreed” to this crossover? Peterson is one of the producers who decided on it. 2ndly, Petersen is the one who decided to take a break which allowed Liev Schreiber and Laurence Fishburne to step in for him. 3rdly for the first two episodes the crossover is a ratings success in the middle of November ‘sweeps’. Petersen knows what he’s doing. Get your facts straight.

What in the hell is wrong with all you Caruso and Fishburne haters? These are TV dramas people, not movies striving for academy awards!!! Yes, I miss Petersen too but he had a bunch of corny one liners just like Caruso!!! Who did you think they were going to send? Nick? He’s her 2nd in command!!! You don’t send the top guns from your section! You send the new boot! Do you people serve dinners with that whine? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it! As for me and my house, I will watch EVERY episode of Miami, NY and the original. One more thing. The clown who used the term “jumped the creativity shark” must be an unpublished, jealous hearted, wannabe writer! This is TV folks, not Sundance!!!

  • Mugsy

I am sorry. This crossover was just bad. No wonder WP would never do them. And besides, as the head of the Lab, Katherine (or even Nick) should have been on this case, not a CSI III. I only watch the original. The connections to each show weak. I miss Grissom and Warrick. I hate to see this show go the way it is going. It breaks my heart.

Lynne, the first Jen who posted, Nina, possibly Glenda (at least you were polite), Sandy Miller, Louisa Shameeka Watrkins, Raider One, Roman Ross (loved your post dude!) you are all excluded from the following statements.

The rest of you, including the author of the article,

Why the Hell pick apart a TV show? Who’s getting away with shooting in LA a show based in Miami? Last time I checked, just about ALL TV shows are filmed in LA. Get a clue.
Why pick on a certain actors style? Caruso is FAMOUS because of that acting style. Who are you? Are you famous? Why ask why he’s working and others aren’t? Ask the talent agents, scouts and managers, not the people here!
Why say Caine wouldn’t last five minutes with a real CSI Team? How do you know? Are you a CSI? Besides, who said he even would WANT to try and last five minutes with a real CSI team. He’s an ACTOR.
Someone asked where the Latino’s are….if anyone thinks there are no Latinos/Latinas in CSI: Miami it’s obvious that YOU don’t watch the show on a regular basis. That’s called speaking before you know what you’re talking about.

Talk about the epitome of having nothing better to do with your time than sit around and read awful writers write even worse reviews about a show THEY don’t even watch on a regular basis just to meet a deadline. And what makes it even more pathetic, is then you sit there and spend hours at your keyboards hunting and pecking every word you type, and turning out awful comments anyway.

So what if you don’t like CSI: Miami? Who cares if YOU don’t like a show? Don’t act like YOUR opinions are the DIFINITVE in everything like you can’t ever be wrong about anything. Someone accused Caruso of having a big head!! Have you looked at your own lately?!

There are plenty other shows out there to chose from. CSI: Miami is CONSISTANTLY in the top ten, whether YOU watch it or not. And it it’s going to stay there for a while!

Get over it. Get used to it. Or go watch Leno.
Better yet watch “Raising the Bar” which, by the way, doesn’t. I have nothing against any of the actors on that show , but talk about lame, dull, lifeless and elementary shows, Raising the Bar is that 100%.
You guys would love it! (Insert a note of sarcasm there in case you missed it the first time.)

Petersen would have never agreed to do a crossover, whether he decided as a producer or not to send Ray. Petersen made it CRYSTAL CLEAR he wasn’t happy with the spin offs because he was afraid it would ‘overshadow’ the original. Well documented, people. Google it. As far as I know, he’s never apologized for that statement, nor has admitted that was wrong, even when CSI: Miami was voted the most watched tv show in the world, the original was still higher in the ratings. He was wrong, but do you think he’s going to admit that? Probably not.

Does that make me hate him? No. He’s an excellent actor by anyone’s standards. But it would be nice if he acknowledged his fears, although I admit they were legitimate, were in fact proven to be wrong, to this very day. Caruso even THANKED HIM PERSONALLY for doing such a great job on the original because there would be no CSI: Miami (or NY) without the first being a success. Still, nothing from Petersen as far as know. That would make one wonder who should be considered the big headed one, doesn’t it?

Egotistical jerk. Caruso? I don’t know because I’ve never met him personally. Yet. But who are you to judge him? I could judge you till the sun goes down just by your few little sentences. By the way, there are a lot more people who say he’s a nice guy than there are people, like you, who say he’s a jerk. As a matter of fact, there are several people I know personally, who HAVE met him and they say he’s a great guy. That he’s funny, intelligent, a fantastic Dad, very appreciative of his fans, often giving out gifts in the form of autographed pictures, and bobble head dolls etc. That’s the truth folks. How many ‘celebrities’ do you know who actually do that sort of thing? Not many, and Caruso is included in those very few. A comment like the ones you made about him tell people maybe it’s the writer of those comments who needs the attitude adjustment.

CSI Fans and non CSI fans alike are getting tired of reading that same crap from people like you guys over and over and over again! And over again.

It’s like you all copy and paste each other comments!

There is ALWAYS one who mentions the 7 minute one liner video on Youtube. NEWSFLASH! That video is used all over the place and even David loves it, even though it was originally meant to be MEAN to him like all of you take such pleasure in doing.

There’s ALWAYS one who mentions the held tilt. Part of the character, people, not a deformity David has, sorry to burst your bubble.

There’s ALWAYS one who mentions the pregnant pauses, again people, part of the character.

There’s ALWAYS one who says they can’t understand why he’s even working as an actor.

    Get my point?

Those crossover episodes were very good, and I enjoyed every second of all three of them. I appreciate the hard work everyone who is involved with putting those shows on the air does. I refuse to compare a TV show to real life because that’s what really lame.

“And what makes it even more pathetic, is then you sit there and spend hours at your keyboards hunting and pecking every word you type, and turning out awful comments anyway.”

Emma, did you miss the irony?

  • Vin O

I think Langston was sent to Miami in the first place because:

    1. He was primary in the case (or he’s handling the case and has direct contact with the mother). Take note that while the guys are working together in most episodes, there are times when they handle cases on their own (or with limited help from others). So this one, being that it’s like a missing-persons case, doesn’t seem to be a biggle.

    2. As mentioned in #1, CSI LV had no idea at the time of the Miami episode, that this is as big of a case as it is yet.

I am one of those who watch CSI and don’t watch the Miami show because Caruso is the worst actor on TV. When he hugged the woman whose daughter died and moved into the consoling position in such a studied hammy way, I laughed out loud. PEople should not laugh at a mother learning her daughter died – but that is exactly how bad an actor he is.
