I’m sorry, never count out Sykes because she’s too talented? How many shows has this woman sunk already? How many chances has she had and failed? Perhaps a more obvious observation would be countSykes out, she’s done nothing but fail up to now and there’s no reason to expect otherwise. Oh, and she’ll probably bring down an exec or two as well for thinking that loudly vomitting crass ignorance somehow qualifies as “edgy” humor.

I LOVE Wanda, her HBO special was fantastic, she is great on Curb, but this was a disaster at every turn. I will keep watching, hoping they get it, but they’re not going to get many chances as bad as that premiere was.
I also turned te TV off after the monologue I love Wanda but the show was so boring, and she was kinda nervous, I loved her on Monster In Law and I love her on Old Christine but as someone said earlier the set looked so cheap and I dunno, I just didnt like it
Starting off a bit by picking on a young girl who was excited at the fact she got to be so close to the president and the tasteless crap that followed was painful to watch. This was quite possibly TVs worst hour. If the executives at Fox entertainment can justify airing the show again I’d love to hear the justification.
I agree with this review. Wanda’s HBO special was so funny I nearly wet myself laughing. How did she get involved with something so lame? I couldn’t even stick around for the end, it was so depressingly awful.
That was awful! I love Wanda and she is one of the best comediens out there but what’s Funny about a reusable condom and ENOUGH about Obama! Didnt people have a life before the election? Maybe if you ran your show and let him try to fix the country. FIRE your writers and go back to being you, after all it’s you we love!

Boring.Poorly produced. She’s too funny to be doing this stuff. I was very disappointed. Couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. Stay on cable Wanda, where you can do your act without sensors.
I loved Wanda’s HBO special so I tuned in to the show thinking it would be a riot. I couldn’t even make it 5 minutes into the show before I turned it to something else, it was horrible. I like Wanda but I don’t know that I will give the show a second chance.
“Beating an already-dead horse”? Is that different from beating a dead horse? And phrases like “..they didn’t really laugh very hard” make this review seem sophomoric and mediocre, just like Wanda’s show, I suppose.
My husband and I thought the opening monologue was truly funny! I think she will find her groove even with the critics harse and disillusioned reviews. Did they really not think she was funny or did what she was saying hit a spot?

Loved the monologue. especially the bit about w peeing on everything as he was leaving DC and the republicans accusing President Obama of being the one who is zipping up his pants…..she hit the nail on the head! squarely!
I agree! The monologue was funny! The rest of the show kinda dragged though! Could use a little tweaking but Im not ready to give up on her yet!
