And Taylor Swift is a terrible live performer. She has a talent for writing catchy songs, but she is not a gifted singer.
Neither is Bob Dylan or Kris Kristofferson, but that doesn’t stop lots of people from enjoying their performances of their own songs. And Taylor sure sings better than Dylan.

It was a horrid ep. but that is nothing new. She stared at the cue cards so much, it was distracting. And the girl couldn’t sing to save her life.
I like Taylor Swift but I think the praise is just because SNL has sucked so bad it wasn’t so awful you had to turn off the TV. I thought she was a mediocre host. It was annoying that she was so clearly focused on reading off the cue cards and the skits got more obnixous as the night went on. I was tempted to mute the TV during the roomate one. Saying she’s the best host of the season so far isn’t saying much.
Was a little concerned, but thought she was charming (and funny!) A pleasant surprise.
It certainly isn’t Taylor’s fault that SNL’s writing isn’t what it used to be. Her monologue was best part of show. Thought she did a great job with what she had to work with. She was the highlight of the evening.
Yo Taylor, Imma let you finish but Justin Timberlake is the best musical host of ALL TIME!

I think Taylor did a good job and was the best host of the season. Unfortunately, the bar was not set high because this season has stunk this year. It is like choosing which is your favorite STD.

Loved every minute of last night’s show! One of the best! Swift is multi-talented and a delight to watch playing comedy, as well as singing.

Taylor was great! She should come back to do more shows as soon as she can (a la Alec Baldwin and pre-screwed up Lindsay Lohan) And I loved that Amy Poehler came back for a bit. I love it when her and Tina Fey make appearances. I agree with most of what Ken Tucker said above. I’m actually watching the show a 2nd time as I was pretty tired last night. I usually delete the show from my DVR the next day without really watching the 12:20a to 1:00a portion that I’ve slept through. If they keep this up with quality hosts, I might have something more to look forward to than Weekend Update.
I thought the monologue and the Digital Short were hilarious. Taylor got Bella’s lip biting down, lol! Other than that, everything else she was did was decent. I don’t think I would go that far as saying she was the best all season.
I thought it was the most consistently funny SNL in several seasons, and Taylor Swift’s acting was great, she’s got real comedic chops, I hope she comes back to SNL, they really did a great job of integrating the show with her talents.
this was very painful as i watched it this morning. i ff thru nick fein..most of taylor’s sketches…this was so painful. they are letting anyone host now a days.
Actors want good material to work with and they are able to see that SNL is lacking in creativity this season. Its a good thing they have good singers every week to make up for the slack.

I thought Taylor was great, especially in the TRAAPED, Firelight and Penelope skits. I didn’t think the inmate sketch was that funny, but Taylor was funny in it.
