Great segment. Most people are not afraid. No matter how hard FAUX NEWS tries.

I think this link has the more up-to-the moment take on Stewart’s diagramming on Beck’s special brand of Crazy.

I couldn’t wait to see the comments on EW when I saw this last night. I was doubled over in laughter. John Stewart puts the other media outlets to shame! This was a perfect criticism of the nightmare of Glen Beck and Fox. Where are the actual journalists who can’t hold a candle to Stewarts “reporting”?

I love Stewart, but I have to admit this segment was stretched out waaay too long.
BTW if you want the best and most clear-headed argument for a public option yet, Roger Ebert (yes, him) wrote a GREAT one on his site.

Does anybody remember ‘Network,’ the 1976 film about a morally bankrupt news station who gave an erratic, mentally disturbed man a show in order to please and shock the masses with wild, directionless ravings about “the system”, which would in turn give them ratings? How is it that no one is watching Glenn Beck on Fox News and not seeing a connection?

I’m actually glad Glenn Beck exists. He’s like a litmus test for crazies: as soon as I hear someone say they like him, I instantly know they’re not playing with a full deck.

As a conservative I am ashamed that people group me with idiots like Glenn Beck. he gives a bad name to us.
