I completely disagree. Betty is really good this season; it’s time slot sucks. Friday nights are deaths for any television shows.
Yes — the show started out as a string of mildly amusing cliches, and now it’s a string of tired, tedious cliches. Give the wonderful America F. a new gig and let her lose the darned braces!
I dumped Betty after three episodes of season 3 – it did lose a lot of its original magic.

What they need to do is put Ugly Betty on Tuesday night, which to me is TV Wasteland night. Of course the ratings are going to go down if its on Friday. I didn’t watch last night’s episode, but then I go watch it online. I love Ugly Betty and I don’t want it to end without her and Daniel getting together!

Totally disagree! I love Betty now more than ever… totally interested in where her new position and semi-makover is going to take her. I am still hoping and dreaming for a Daniel pairing… he is the one for her! I think ABC is really doing this show a disservice by airing it on the abysmal Friday night though… move it back to a more popular night… pair it with Modern Family!
I wish EW had another TV critic. I miss Gillian. I hardly ever agree with Ken Tucker. Ugly Betty is still better than a lot of those crime/medical shows out there.

As far the declining ratings what can you expect on Friday?
I’ve watched all three seasons, and found the third season finale to be awesome. I had high hopes for the fourth season after seeing the finale. I don’t know what it is about this season, but I’ve stopped watching. Goodbye Betty
It’s a lot better this season. This season feels a lot more like how season 1 was.

what you’ve said makes no sense. if you thought the 3rd season was amazing, specifically the season finale, why wouldn’t you then watch the following 4th season? some people are just simple.
I completely agree with your assessment. Let this thing die with some dignity, please. Loved it initially, but it became became mind-numbingly tedious and unfunny, esp. the tired henry and betty storyline. When Gio left, so did I.

NO! Ken you are sooooooooooo wrong! There is nothing wrong with Ugly Betty .. just the night it was move to. Betty brings in MORE people then Hank! Hank will tank soon .. it should be on Fridays and Betty should be on Weds. at 9.
