I’m curious: How many Entertainment Weekly readers, how many EW.com commenters, are planning to watch the second game of the World Series tonight?
Last night’s first game defeated all other TV competitors with ease, and kept millions tuned in with moments like these, from Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee:
But tonight, with the usual log-jam of new episodes of FlashForward and Survivor and Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy and CSI and The Office and 30 Rock and Private Practice and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and… well, you get the idea.
Are EW readers and sports fans a Venn diagram in which the circles do not overlap?
Who among you will DVR your favorite sitcom or drama in favor of baseball? If so, what shows are you taping to watch later?

Well, has a Philadelphian I don’t have much of a choice but to watch the Phillies. It pains me a bit to have to wait until my shows come up on ondemand or on the web later this week. Love me some Vampire diaries.
Vamp Diaries all the way
Simple. Watching the game. Tivoing Survivor and NBC. I can do without The Vampire Diaries…
watching Vampire Diaries and the Office, DVRing survivor. Baseball is so boring
Watching the game. Tivo-ing Vampire Diaries. Will watch Flash Forward and Community online or ondemand.
considering from the philly area i’ll probably be watching the game and watching everything else online at some point. Go Phillies!!
tivoing vampire diaries and community, watching survivor, office, 30 rock, project runway
Baseball can get boring and with it being early in the series, I’ll still watch and DVR my TV shows: Survivor, FlashForward, Grey’s, Community, The Office, 30 Rock, Vampire Diaries, The Mentalist, and Project Runway. Thursdays are the busiest night on TV.
I’ll be watching vampire diaries followed by the world series. Go Yankees!
Watching Flash Forward live.
Supernatural will be lived, while The Office will be DVR’d and watched at 10:00.
DVR Flash Forward, watch Vampire Diaries and The Office. No baseball…
Not a fan of either team. Anti-fan of NYY. Will catch CSI and the Mentalist.
Start off with baseball. Then switch over to Community and go back to baseball during commercials. Same thing when The Office comes on. Then go back to baseball for good. If the Yankees are losing badly again in the 8th, I’ll go to bed!
The best night for comedy is Thursday…I will be watching The Office
THE OFFICE..um hello its going to be the halloween episode..has anyone seen the promos, this episode (like evey other one) looks HILARIOUS!!!!
