Last night, South Park had its usual tartly sarcastic way (by which I mean “delightfully savage ridicule”) with save-the-whales conservationists, cable-TV nature shows, Lady Gaga, and, yes, Entertainment Weekly in the episode titled “Whale Whores.”
First, let me say that Cartman’s version of “Poker Face” is pretty terrific. Second, gotta love the fake EW cover, complete with the second-sell headline, “We’re STILL Remembering Michael Jackson”:
Don’t you think Cartman deserves an MTV Video Award?

only cartman could make me like that song… haven’t been wild about this season but what a great episode that was. lately they’ve been missing a “punchline” to end the episode, but we got a great one last night.
Great episode. This show is on fire right now. Cartman’s Poker Face was a classic, the Whale Wars take down was awesome, and the ending was sheer genius.
lol, the end … Good now they are normal like us.
Best Show Ever
Lagy gaga sucks. But Cartman got me in the groove. Nice episode!
Yeah!!!
Only disappointment was not getting more “Poker Face” over the closing credits. I was so convinced there would be more!
I have had Cartman singing in my head since last night – F in awesome.
LOVE. IT. Especially those headlines…
I really liked this episode, I couldn’t stop laughing!
Ok, it wasn’t just me! I like Cartmans version of Poker face also!
Elk Country Fried Steak. Marinade sektas in soy sauce and liquid smoke after meat is tenderized. Using Shake and bake mix for pork as breading. Rinse elk sektas in cold water lightly before preparing to bread. While slightly wet, roll in flour. Beat a couple eggs and add a little milk and mix well for an egg wash. Dunk floured elk meat into egg wash, then right in to a bag containing breading. Shake good to ensure that meat is completely covered in breading. Fry meat to a golden brown. I prefer brown gravy over cooked elk for an added bit of flavor. I use white gravy if Im having the sektas for breakfast that way I have the peppered gravy to cover fresh baked biscuits! .
H
Yeah what they all said!!
Now whenever I hear Poker Face, I’ll be reminded of Eric Cartman and this episode. It was insane that during the kamikaze attacks, when the two whales dove underwater to escape, that the two planes didn’t crash on impact on the water surface, but instead actually went into the water and crashed into the whales.
Best episode in a long time! Wonder what the Whale Wars folks think of it…I personally think you’ve “made it” into pop culture immortality when you’re featured on South Park (for good or bad). I hope they feel honored.
No I hate that song and it was funny him singing it but only because of how horribly he sung it; lol.
The Ending Was Soo Funny! “Well done Stan, there normal like us”.
