This week, I think it was Ed O’Neill. Hey, next week, it could be Julie Bowen. Or Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Read the full post.

I LOVE this show- my roommate and I can’t help but laugh out loud every week. I can’t even pick a favorite character but this week I loved Ed O’Neill’s Jay- just perfect in every interaction. I also think they utilize the kids in such a great way, unlike many sitcoms. Example:
Jay: How much coffee have you drank?
Manny: Give me a break, I have to climb a rope today.
Claire(to Haley): Do you know how bad a of liar you are?
Alex: I would be more worried that she couldn’t come up with a single book title.
And I thought the pool scene at the end was not cheesy or sitcomy- but sweet, it came off very realistic to me, like it would have happened whether the cameras were around or not.
I love the way the Phil character can be somewhat of a cartoon but then says something smart. He had a great line about sweeping things under the rug until they were so big you tripped over them. I have to say that I was surprised at his insight.
If Eric Stonestreet isn’t nominated for Best Supporting Actor for playing Cameron, I will never watch the Emmys again.
Ed O’Neil is really great. I don’t even think of him as Al Bundy in this role. I love this show more every week.
I think Phil reminds me of what Michael Scott would be like as a dad, well maybe if he was a little bit smarter.
This show is just sheer brilliance. I think it’s my favorite show on TV right now. Every one of the cast members is capable of carrying an episode on a given night. Great acting, great writing!
I love the show and I wish it was on longer.
FUNNIEST LINE EVER:
- CASABLANCA.
I love this show, and especially the Cameron character. I was still laughing the next day about that scene where he holds Lily out in the doorway and asks the double question. Though it was even funny when he was walking around delivering his lines with her on his hip! Love him.
Kudos! What a neat way of thnkiign about it.
