In some ways, this was one of the less-distinctive, more X-Files-ish episodes of Fringe on Thursday night. Read the full post.

Did anybody notice the poster in the doctors office? I’m pretty sure that was a picture of Olivia! Lol
lol i noticed that!
I actually thought Walter showed progress by not experimenting on the agent by opening his brain up, but just putting the net on his head. He knew he couldn’t operate without permission (even if not quite why). Progress! Very ingenious of Walter to invent that net, and I think we’re going to see that net again in the future.
I missed the Observer, have to go back and find him.
I really liked that Olivia and Peter opened up more to each other too. I hope they’ll be a couple one day, they are great together! For now though I think it’s important that they grow to trust one another, to be real partners, because I think in the end they will have only one another to trust, once Walter’s secret is revealed. They are both key somehow to the future.
I also thought the science part – the dreams and explanations – were accurate – hurray! – and that the two stories were woven together quite well. The last scene with being in Peter’s dream and his eyes rolling – very creepy – and then waking up to see his father there, and Walter’s face, grief-stricken and haunted, wracked with guilt. How did John Noble not get nominated for an Emmy? Plus that he stopped dreaming the nightmare when he his father went into St Claire’s, another clue that his nightmares are really his experiences when he was kidnapped by Walter. Well done episode!
I also liked how Olivia said goodbye to Charlie, very much in character for her, and very moving.
Kathie- they touch on Peter being taken from the other reality in the season 1 finale. That episode is a ‘much watch’. YOU’RE GOING TO BE FINE.
@Ken Tucker
Good man for owning up to faulty memory. I just like your stuff and really love Fringe. Keep writing good reviews
Awesome episode, thanks for the recap. I hope Fringe improves in ratings, it’s my favorite show and I’d hate to see it get cancelled all because Fox changed its timeslot.
Anyone else see the watcher (guy in the boller hat) in the background of the scene at the office. Does this mean the guy stealing dreams is part of the pattern?
Understanding of how the initial focus will influence what takes place in each stage of the survey. ,
They suffer while it could be avoided. ,
oaugenyirenbefon – These are the letters on Olive’s anagram. Anyone solved it yet?
