This show was sooooooooooooo Disappointing. I was so looking forward to Drew being in some great skits. DIDN’T HAPPEN !!!!!
I guess JT set the bar and now the all should up thier game. Even the news sucked!!! Glad I TIVO it and watch the best part/s. Only good skit was the spoof on Weiners andLarry King. Please take Keenan and his lame inpressions of the Weekend Update Segment. So Not Funny. Sorry SNL (Not al all Impressed)–SHARK

Kristin Wiig is talented but she has way too many recurring characters that are too similar. Do we really need Gilly *and* the Target lady? I’d like to see Abby Elliot do more, since (this is for old people like me) she is the daughter of Chris Elliot, and the granddaughter of the late Bob Elliot, of Bob & Ray, who were all drop-dead funny in their day.I still watch the show, it’s occasionally brilliant, but not this one. I like Drew and she’s a game actor, but this one really fell flat. And yes, the singer did suck. She squeaked in the high register.

Plus, it was dumb to let Casey Wilson go and it was dumb to let Maya Rudolph go. And it was dumb to let Horatio Sanz go, so much better than, say, Bobby Moynihan. And it might be time to say bye-bye to Kenan, or at least some of his characters. That DJ Dynasty Handbag should never have gone on so long, nor the French Def Jam comic.

Sorry folks, but I thought Drew Barrymore’s Sharon Osbourne send-up was terrific, both in the writing and her “out there” impersonation.

They need a new African American who can do Obama and take over some of Keenan’s sketches and impersonation. The ROCK has a better impression than Armisen. I think they do the right think by making fun of Biden because he is a much more broad target. The problem is that, politics aside, Obama really hasn’t made a major personal or political blunder to expand on. Bush was dumb, and surrounded by his dads cronies and Clinton was a philanderer, things which they could jump on. It was the same with Ford, who even though he was actually probably the most athletic and coordinated president ever, he did trip once and they just bagged on him for it and it was hilarious. We need to wait for Obama to do something really dumb. I think that they should do more sketches about how he tries to please everyone and be popular, like have him be a high school skank or something… Idk. I think that the political climate is truly a terrible one for a sketch show. You don’t have the ridiculous-ness of last year. This year its very intense but also very SERIOUS with little openings to make a good broad sketch. SNL can’t get caught in a neche like Colbert or the Daily Show can in ridiculing politics since they need to irreverently bash all sides and right now in this political climate things are so watered down or so insanley serious that theres no opening
