I’m all for keeping Wilson and House playing house together but I agree that the ep was a dud- ironically, I preferred the cast of nuts in the funny farm. At least they kept House’s doc around, I really like that guy. And House and the woman giving him cooking lessons was funny. But the Forteen thing was weak and back when he went mental when he almost died, Foreman used to be interesting
I would definitely watch it as long as they made House his old irritable self and not this dumb shell of a character they have turned him into.
He’s no longer the “brilliant genius” the show started out with now is he? And yeah, Wilson and House are the only good things about this show now. But as I said to me House is losing his personality and wit, so even that may be gone soon. And Foreman is incredibly lame, I wish he was the one leaving.
Anyway, excellent article. You said it well.
Why Shore decided to inflict his obsessive love of Foreman on the audience is simply beyond me. Foreman is without doubt one of the most boring characters of the last ten years on US TV – and 13 runs a close second. Combine them and you have the snooze fest Epic Fail was. Really, they are the characters that should be written off the show permanently, not Cameron.
And the episodes so far this season have also shown how sidelining Jesse Spencer for two years was a colossal mistake – he, not Omar Epps or Hugh Laurie for that matter, was the one holding his own opposite James Earl Jones.
I have to agree with most of you. I ADORE House and Wilson scenes….they are the best thing about the show IMHO. Besides Hugh’s remarkable, awesome, amazing talents. CAN’T STAND 13 and can’t understand that even though TPTB know this, they keep insisting on giving her precious air time. WE ARE NEVER GOING TO LIKE HER!!!! Do you WANT to lose viewers????? I think the episodes have been better than season 5′s and I look forward to the rest of the season. I hear some really good stuff is coming up. Stay tuned!!
P.S. Taub WILL be back….soon…as will 13.
