Anyone watch 'Archer' after 'It's Always Sunny' last night?

Anyone stick around after It’s Always Sunny last night for the sneak preview of Archer? It’s the new cartoon from the guys behind one of my favorite Adult Swim shows, Frisky Dingo, as well as Sealab 2021.

A spy spoof with an electrical jolt plus the voices of Aisha Tyler and Jessica Walter (the latter says more outrageous things than she did on Arrested Development, even), Archer looked and sounded really good to me, a cult classic in the making (warning, some naughty language):

“Archer, you think this is a game?”

“No, I think Jenga’s a game.”

FX snuck Archer on the air last night with no promotion. Can’t wait til Archer premieres… in January, apparently. Did you watch?

Completed unexpected, which is saying something since it followed Sunny. I will definitely be awaiting its premiere in January!

Loved every second of it. Can’t wait for it to hit the schedule in January!

Hadn’t heard of this before and was really, really happy I stayed tuned to watch it. Actually pretty disappointed that I didn’t record it.

I recorded Sunny and this was recorded along with it. I was immediatly happy that I had unwittingly recorded it. I will be showing this to my friends, it was one the greatest premiers I’ve ever seen. Really dissapointed though that I have to wait till january for more.

Hey Jay Leno, there was something funny on last night from 10:00pm to 11:00pm and it sure as hell wasn’t your snoozefest.

This show was funny as hell – thank goodness Jessica Walters got out of “90210″. Funnier than any show Seth McFarlane has ever done.

its basically frisky dingo. which rules

I would argue that it is better than Frisky Dingo, at least at first shot. I was a huge fan of Sealab, but Frisky Dingo never clicked for me. I gave it the full first season to hook me, but it didn’t.

Archer hooked me in the first 2 minutes. Loved this show, and I eagerly await the true debut in January.

Watched it and loved it, will definitely check it out in January.

pretty smart move to just put it on w/no advertising or promotion. FX clearly is looking for the sunny fans to likethis, and everyone was excited for the sunny premiere. It was like fishing w/ grenades. I am hooked-the show was hysterical and the cast is spectacular

I was totally surprised and excited to watch it. It even feels like an adult swim show. Really good.

I was really curious as to what was going to be on after It’s Always Sunny. I am so glad I stuck around and watched it!

I immediately recognized Archer’s voice as the coach from Home Movies and thought it was probably from the same people who do Frisky Dingo, because the animation is very similar, as well as the hilarity of the dialogue. I am also a huge fan of Sealab, so I will definitely be tuning in in January.

Loved sealab and frisky dingo… was waaaay too tired to watch anything last night but I was extremely excited when I was watching the end of it’s always sunny this morning before work and saw the familiar animation.

Had heard adam reed was doing a show on fx awhile back, but at the time they didn’t know the name of series. can’t wait to watch it tonight.

Btw I know the feeling of frisky dingo not clicking, but I think that’s because I loved sealab from the beginning… I found that later sealab wasn’t as good as the earlier, and then frisky dingo wasn’t as good as sealab, blah blah. But the more I watch it the more I love every line that comes from that show

“Archer,” or, as the DVR program info had it, “To Be Announced.”

I really hate Adult Swim. I’ve tried a handful of their shows and they’ve all disappointed me. So I was very surprised to find that I loved this pilot. It’s just as funny as the best comedies on television like Curb, The Daily Show and 30 Rock. FX is gonna have a great start for the new decade.
