“The show must go on” is for art. Where VH1′s vulgar exploitation reality is concerned, any excuse not to show it is a good one. These shows are a celebration of bad behavior bordering on personality disorder. I wouldn’t go as far as saying reality shows encourage murder, but they certainly glorify negative, even dangerous behavior. Here’s to hoping good taste prevails and VH1 doesn’t exploit this sad, tragic story for the prurient interest it will inspire.

Let’s face it – those of us who watch these VH-1 reality shows do so to laugh at/mock the people who appear on the show. They are essentially partially scripted comedies. I could care less if thse people find love/get the $$$, just let me laugh my rear end off at the sad, pathetic, desperate folks who surrender their dignity for fame. But, I can’t laugh at some guy who (allegedly) brutally murdered his wife. And, if as some reports have said, he won I Love Money 3, should they really air it. And, for those who say that the editors, casting agents, etc. shouldn’t suffer for this – too bad, so sad. They are the ones who, instead of working on shows like Mad Men, chose to swim in the sewers of reality TV.

I agree. And people have the right to choose whether they want to watch it or not. It’s really simple. Air the show. People who don’t like it: change the channel.

Kara, its funny you agree when you don’t even get what Johnny C is really saying. Thou fool.

I would like to see the shows only if he doesn’t win either one of them just to see what a sleeze he really is. Maybe they should re-do the “I Love Money 3″ if he really did win. The Megan show we know for sure wasn’t picked but still would like to see who she does pick.

i dont think he should b on the love of money or be any more famous he mest it all up people will hate him.

Ryan Jenkins as yet viewed reality show should not be shown out of respect for Jasmine.

Oh Jesus. Let the show go will you. VH1 was smart enough to simply cancel the thing (correct?) and not air the episodes after, you know, the guy turned out to be a psycho killer. People just silently nodded their head. But the entertainment media, as usual, has to behave as if in a case where one person was mutilated and murdered so badly that they had to use her breast implants to identify her and in which the killer hung himself, there is actually some question as if this show should be aired. No. And Megan, who constantly prattled on and on about how this was her favorite guy and she was massively attracted to him, ought to be happy, for her sake, VH1 made the decision not to air it. Let the show go. People are dead, it’s not even a question to anyone on the planet other than entertainment “reporters” (who are behaving more like ghouls).

tim, her favorite is actually punisher, NOT ryan. yes she liked ryan, but punisher is and always was her favorite on the show (there’s a reason she picked him over ryan in the end – oh yeah, she picked punisher they’ve been spotted out together)

I watch the VH1 shows. I think they should stick with their decision to cancel both shows. I won’t miss MWAM. I wasn’t watching it that much anyway. I always look forward to ILM. But I think they should reshoot with the cast that included Ryan and of course find a replacement for Ryan’s spot. One of the women eliminated the first night of My Antonio could fill in nicely.

    Get rid of VH1.

    Problem solved.

As someone who has shamefully watched I love money and Megan wants a millionaire, I say pull both shows. I personally don’t want to watch someone who was accused of murder and is now dead on my TV, trying to win over another girl (despite already knowing the outcome) or fatten his wallet. Plus, I think it would be an absolute smack in the face to the family and friends of Jasmine, and Jenkins for that matter (no matter how vile we may think he is, he has family somewhere). Put yourself in their shoes – how would you feel? I will not watch.

    • Lisa

Thank you! I couldn’t have worded it better myself.

  • Dewellah

I would really like to see them both! I was already watching the Megan show…and she actually liked this dude. I bet they stopped it because he makes it all the way and is eliminated @ the very end. If that weren’t the case, they would air it. A girl from either Rock of Love or Real Chance of Love died in a DUI accident that was her fault and they still aired her episodes. She was a kinda punk girl that was a makeup artist. Oh, she was on “Double Shot at Love” – the one with the twins…

Never heard about this. Any idea who it was?!?

    • Ms. Puddy

Double shot of love. Sad that I know that.

i say the show must go on. everyone already knows what he did, and it’s something that has been all over the press for the last week. isn’t all of that press just serving to make him more famous anyways? besides the studio has to make back the production costs somehow, and it’s a pretty large loss that they’re going to have to swallow if they have to cancel a second show due to this guy being a cast member. however, knowing that he won the show, they should just utilize editing and downplay that whole part.

there is a lovely little thing called editing that they can use to minimalize the screen time that he gets. from what i heard he was pretty docile on the show anyways.

besides, why penalize the other contestants for his mistakes? honestly, i don’t think it was right for them to cancel megan wants a millionaire either. i know i certainly didn’t watch the show because of him, and he didn’t even win!!!

anyways, i think the show must go on. we already know what has happened, so why should it be an issue.

  • jose

I think that all tv channels should bad showing michael vick too!

  • Marian

If this man wasn’t such an integral part of both shows, VH1 could get away with airing them after further editing. However, since he supposedly made it to the finals, that would make it difficult to cut his scenes out or down. I think it would be in poor taste to air the shows, but I think the network owes something to its devoted fans. For example, a special with contestants from the shows for discussions.

  • BC

I’m assuming he must do pretty well on “I Love Money 3″ or else they could just edit his scenes out of it.

what is wrong with you people? A woman was murdered! A very sick sociopathic man commited suicide! And you want to watch this killer on a dating show? On a show based on dirty money?
Pay some respect and develop some morals.
To blame society or the media is apathetic, lazy, and adding to the problem – because yes, it is a problem.
Come on people – we are better than that!
