I didn’t watch Harper’s Island. I loved Pushing Daisies, and the final episodes were excellent. I also loved Eli Stone, and I wish the last episodes had been slam-dunks, too, but they weren’t. They had enough strong moments, though, to make me glad I saw them.
I had high hopes for Kings–but it just hasn’t involved me emotionally or convincing me of its world’s reality. Amazing in its intentions, but the results not so much.
Harper’s Island was the best series this summer – wish it could have gone on at least another 2 weeks or so! Great mindless entertainment!
KINGS!!!!!! Just watched episode 10. THIS SHOW IS THE BEST SHOW IN YEARS.
I don’t always watch Kings on Saturday, but I always watch it on NBC’s site. Too sad that they can more ambitious shows after failing to appropriately promote them. You should have seen the disarray that was the show website–the message board was full of porn-spam due to the lack of enough moderation; their sub-site looked like they’d slapped them together…if they’d have hired 2 full-time people to build and promote its online culture, it coudl have had a chance. I don’t think NBC ever believed in it–which is really sad. It was one of the most original shows out there with so much potential.
I hope the online audience is well accounted for. I don’t watch any shows on tv, as I don’t have cable, but I watch Kings on Hulu, where I’m more likely to watch the sponsor’s commercials. Great great show on par with any of the best premium cable shows like the Tudors.
I love Kings. It’s such a fantastic show. I’ve caught up on most of the episodes thanks in part to Hulu.
Watched all the last Eli Stone episodes and will watch the final Dirty Sexy Money ones too. I will miss Eli!
Personally, I love TV watching on a Saturday night; we don’t all go out all the time! Anyway, I love Eli Stone and will miss it/him desperately. I can’t understand why they would replace such a good show with such awful shows that will probably do worse than what’s already on the air. In my next life, I want to be a TV programmer!
I am so disappointed in NBC for canceling Kings. It is a great show! I will admit the first few episodes were a little slow building, but the last 4 episodes, the best thing on TV. I hope the NBC executives are scouring these boards, seeing what the “real” fans of these shows are saying, and they realize they are making a mistake. It is one of the few shows that I watch Live…give me a Nielson box please! if so, great shows like Kings and Jericho would still be on the air!
I completely agree with Carter. I loved Kings and Jericho. If you want to save Kings start signing these petitions, please, we need to save it.

Kings is one of the best TV shows.
It’s original and the acting and writing fantastic.
I watch it on HULU and am willing to watch commercials to see it. (no way to fast forward on computer)
