'Dollhouse': Just-released clip from the never-seen 'Epitaph One' episode is mighty, mighty Whedonesque!

Categories: News, Television

Here’s a clip from the near-legendary 13th episode of Dollhouse, “Epitaph One,” that never aired during its first season. It’ll be on the season one DVD to be released July 28. It features Amy Acker not in her Dr. Saunders role, but in her alternate “Active” identity as Whiskey, which means she’s carrying a big gun and is surrounded by some folks with bigger guns:

So, Dollhouse fans, start dissecting this scene. What does it mean? Where does it fit into the Dollhouse mythology? How enthused are you for the DVD release (lots of Joss Whedon commentaries, kids) and a second season of Dollhouse

It also has Felicia Day from Buffy and The Guild!

I’m sorry, but the only reason that I watched Dollhouse was because it aired right after Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Now that that show is gone, I lost interest in Dollhouse. Way to go Fox.

I thought the last two episodes of Dollhouse were pretty great, but unfortunately the other 10 episodes ranged from awful to barely above average. Unless there’s some massive retooling going on I don’t think season 2 will be much improved.

I can not wait for this to come out on DVD!! Felicia Day!! w00t!!

Amy Acker is incredible. Can’t wait to see this. Season 1 was great — had some weak episodes but towards the end of the season it was hitting it out of the ballpark. I can’t wait for season 2 (and this).

“I will shoot you very hard”—LOVE IT!!!!

There were I think four good episodes out of 12. And the premise still makes no sense. I’m sure it will all be fixed with the new cut-rate budget for season 2.

Dude, I totally heart Amy Acker AND Felicia Day. This might be worth shelling out for the DVDs.

Episode 6: Man on the Street was one of the best hours of television I saw during the last TV season. It had awesome action, heart, revelations. It was great. That episode pretty much sold this show for me.

How “enthused” are we? Who are you, Tucker, Charles Osgood?

Despite all the assurance from the Whedonites that demand for the Dollhouse DVD is going to make the internet blow up, if you check Amazon.com you will see that the Dollhouse Season One DVD is currently ranked 31st among the Coming Soon offerings, behind such hot titles as Prison Break: The Final Break and Bewitched: The Complete Season Eight.

Well it has Felicia Day in it. I HAVE to buy it now.

I love this show. Like all Whedon shows it needed 4-5eps to establish itself. The last several eps were awesome and I can’t wait to see this alternative post-apocalyptic episode!!
    Bring on season two!!
PS-Terminator:TSCC was horrid. It turned the unstopable Terminator into a laughable boogeyman.
