It's funny isn't it. After watching just the first episode, I would probably have agreed with this review. But after having seen the whole season, I find I really like the show. It shouldn't have worked......but somehow it has. Go figure, huh? And besides, much like Shakira's hips, the stats just don't lie - this show got high ratings (well SyFy-wise, anyways).

Warehouse 13 is/was a great addition to the SiFi Channel. All the nay sayers out there have it wrong. Light and fun is a lot better then ugly and bad.

Way better series than the end of Battlestar so you're quite right it won't replace it. BSG became 90210 in space. Now this series I actually like. Of course SyFy is pretty stupid so on that course you're right.

The whole premise of the show is stretching it a BIT... a huge warehouse full of stuff all supposedly terestrial. My daughter seems to enjoy it but for me the now defunct Dresden files was a real treat, and I want to see more of Legend of the Sword.

A warehouse full of gadgets wont cut it. Its the characters. A hero-heroine or great team on an adventure or quest cuts it every time aka Dr Who, Star Trek, Farscape, X files and the dropped Dresden files. Tapping into our imagination and love of characters battling against the odds

I thought Warehouse 13 was a pretty good show, I've seen almost every episode and I don't try to look too deep into it, it's entertainment. As someone who reads and has an interest in the theories and history of "Magically" or "Occult" objects this show is interesting. Of course it's kind of campy and while it definitly does seem to take it's lead from The Librarian and Friday The 13'th series, I can overlook that. If we want to go back far enough we can see that the Hellboy Comics was introduced with many mystical/religious objects of power too, so my point is, everything really takes an idea or two from things in the past. As far as the SyFy thing, No, I don't like the new name, but it's just a personal choice. Really, as long as they play good series and shows, I wouldn't care if they called it SCIFY or any other odd combination of things, and I've been a big SciFi fan over the years.

You're wrong. Warehouse 13 is a clever anodyne to the non-stop grimness and determination that was Battlestar Galactica, which I loved, don't get me wrong -- but the darkness before, during and after the dawn of BSG sort of used up my capacity for that sort of thing for a few years. I'll take the sassy little syfy sitcoms for a bit.

I personally like Warehouse 13. But then, I tend to like things that not many others do. I find the characters humorous and the episodes fun to watch.

Hard to fault them on this when every weekend I turn on syfy (yuck to the name) and see a bunch of B rated movies. I can't even remember the names they are so bad. One movie this weekend looked like some high schoolers made it (no offense to high schoolers out there)! We couldn't stop laughing at the poor acting and graphics. Warehouse 13, not in love with it yet, but I will keep watching it until I either hate it or love it. My wife and I really enjoyed Stargate, Galactica and other sci-fi shows. So we are hoping Stargate Universe turns out to be a hit.
