Michael Jackson can be seen looking in fit, top-notch form in a clip released by CNN of a rehearsal taped two days before he died. Performing “They Don’t Care About Us,” Jackson and a troupe of dancers are quick, loose, and inventive in their moves:
There’s an eerie moment at the end of the rehearsal clip, taped at Los Angeles’ Staples Center when Jackson finishes, freezes, and an off-stage voice says, “Hold for applause”… applause he’ll never hear.

I cried after watching this. All those lies in the press about him ailing and being emaciated and having needle marks and being on drugs are untrue.. One day before this horrible tragedy struck – he was healthy and amazing, and on point with his dancing and performing. What a loss for humanity.. My God.
Why is AEG releasing this? Can we say “insurance?”

Maybe they wanted to rebut all the lies about how he was emaciated and at the point of death. MJ was on top of his game in that video.

Yeah that wasn’t bad. In fairness, it was what I would have expected. He wasn’t as spritely as you would have seen in his Billie Jean days, but rhythm and groove doesn’t go with age.

I saw this earlier on CNN and it took my breath away ,he looks good energetic even in the clip. It’s a shame we’ll never see what the final show would have been like . He was the ultimate entertainer .

I’m not sure who to send this message to, but I hope it does not get disregarded in the shuffle. I have been a fan of Michael Jackson since back in the day, however I never had the money to go to any of his shows, never had the money to back up any of his causes, but I’ve been with him for all the time he’s been. I had all the faith in him through thick and thin, I believed. I just want his family to know that I am forever a faithful fan, even though I don’t have money.
It’s so sad to see him in such great health just two days before he died. Goodbye Michael

Yes, he was a musical genius and very talented. But he was not a God and most definately flawed. I am sorry for the boy he once was…not the man he became.
How can you put someone on a pedestal who may have been a child molester? He may not have physically harmed any children but he did mentally harm them. Even his (supposed) own children have been harmed by his behavior.
I think it is kind of funny…on one hand you have Michael Jackson. Reviled at one time due to his odd behavior with children and now he is revered and his reputation has become shiny as a new penny. On the other hand you have Roman Polanski. Genius movie director…practically drummed out of the movie business…deported and not allowed back into America for sleeping with teenage (16and 17year olds) girls…which he later married and turned into major movie stars. Natassa Kinski ring any bells? Charlie Chaplin treated like a pariah for marrying his underage cousin…his career basically in ruins. What the?
Tickles, nobody said he was God, and like all of us, of course he was flawed. I don’t think anyone would agree with you that his reputation is suddenly become a “shiny penny” – that’s not true at all. He is revered for the musical, creative, genius he was. Roman Polanski slept with young girls but he is still around – he’s hardly in the genius category. Charlie Chaplin was reputedly a very cruel man and very flawed, however you cannot deny his genius either.

Considering it was a rehearsal, after all, I wouldn’t expect Michael to be giving everything he had. Having said that, I do think he looks a bit stiff.
Who knows what to believe. It appears he has at leasta decent amount of energy. He appears thin but he looks alright. Could he still sing? THat will be a he said she said issue.
