I don’t think Kate wants this, she may have filed the papers, but I don’t think she wants this at all. I think Jon is being immature and is cheating on kate, because he has put up with her all these years and then suddenly in the last 6 months he washes his hands of the whole marriage.

lets face it. These 8 individuals have lost their innocence and are going through one of the worst things a child can go through in front of a nation. And that nations concerns…kates hair. john’s infidelity or “being a loser”. we need to watch to see this trainwreck. congrats people, you are witnessing the destruction of entertainment, family and most important, 8 young people who are going to be very hurt by their parents greed and their nations curiosity. BRAVO!

John is super immature and really needs to grow up. He is very lazy and from what family members haver said about him, he cannot keep a real job. I think he just wants to escape his life and his responsiblities. He wants to run away and leave it to Kate. He is a real loser and I think Kate saw it a long time ago. That is one reason she has acted like she has…she is fed up with his behaviour. I believe he cheated because that is a deal breaker and he knew she would divorce him over that. Most women divorce their husbands when they cheat on them.

10 years of marriage and 8 kids…and your all gonna throw it away..What about marriage counseling..take a family trip or better yet turn off the cameras…I think maybe Kate and Jon like all the publicity…I hope the kids can have some normalcy in there lives..

I am a long-time male fan of the show. I remember watching the kids when they were 18 months old. Has Kate been a jerk now and then? Of course. She’s never offered the pretense that she is perfect. Last night Jon showed what a coward he is. His statements of being “only 32″ and his new bling-bling ears made me think that he’s only too happy to leave his responsibilities to not his wife, but his kids as well. I have no doubt the kids find stability with Kate, and they will be okay. Jon loses in the end with this one. His statement “I would do anything for my kids” is clearly nothing more than a scripted response since clearly he means “anything” but growing a pair and working it out with his wife. They could’ve tried counselling or something. Sorry Jon, “standing up for yourself” and qutting are NOT the same thing. Good luck Kate! Hopefully she will find someone who will put her in her place once in a while, but will also appreciate her tenacity and intelligence.

I think the root of the problem is immaturity- for both. I do not watch the show, but since information about the goings-on is so readily available, it’s easy to comment. They wanted a lifestyle that both working could not afford, let alone Jon by himself. Jon cannot provide for his family, and looks like a babydaddy every week. Kate is committed to the cash flow the show provides because she can’t count on Jon to take care of her and the kids, and she lets him know how unimportant he is in almost every transaction. There are two parent families with as many kids who are doing it because they are being mature about their options. They are living within their means. If Jon could have made enough money to support the family in the manner they are accustomed to, he would have been able to put his foot down. But since he couldn’t, he sold out and threw his manhood away just to be comfortable. Notice how they want to keep the show/income going. They still want to live large.
