NBC's programming and marketing executives seem to be as out of touch with the viewing public as many of the other channels out there. I swear MTV executives are the worst. How can shows, if you can even call them that - drivel might be a light compensating word, like "The Hills" get continued airtime? I can only assume shows like "The Hills" is merely around for good shows like "Talk Soup" to have an endless supply easy parody making. Gosh "The Soup" producers must be having it easy when ridiculous brain melting drivel such as that runs the airwaves. Honestly, MTV lost its soul when it stopped playing music videos at prime time. Lucky to see a music video between the hours of 4am and 6am on a Sunday. Maybe someone should remind them what the M stands for. Anyway, back to NBC? Makes you wonder if they hired a bunch of MTV programming executives. And what was with the marketing with the Kings? Someone hire a bunch of Sony Betamax marketing executives or something on that one?

I love Kings and I don't understand how shows like Kings gets cancelled while idiotic shows like 90210 just won't go away. I really wish NBC would reconsider.

It's depressing that people like me that enjoy good television shows, which are getting rarer today, don't have an outlet to turn to as these networks cancel good shows left and right and reality shows, medical drams are the only ones left.
They don't care about good acting, a good plot, strong writing, etc. It's all about finances - I doubt they even watch their own shows they air. For if they did, they'd make more of an effort to keep good shows. They may like to think they are doing a good job, but what's on TV today is a testament to their constant failures.
I hope the internet truly does kill their traditional models and forces them all out of business, only for a new way to enjoy good shows is born -- by watching online.

It's too bad this was cancelled. It's a beautifully written and produced show. I hope they got to finish it in a way that makes some sense, I'm looking forward to watching the final episodes.

Oh, if you want to see vintage Ian McShane, check out "Battle of Britain". That's a great flick and our boy steals the show!

Mickeba Sez!
There was another great show about 4 years back called "Surface". It was about a boy who adopted a lizard that became a sea monster, and the last episode showed you a flooded planet earth. It aired right around the time of Katrina. This was a not serious, cheesy, popcorn show. But it was fun and good. NBC stuck with it for the whole first season then sacked it. Great it was. Now they come up with Kings and it gets canned as well. I love reading the comments, cos I know the show is great and it's nice to see others feel the same way. I know they'll not change their minds, but it would be nice. And I hope it doesn't end on a cliffhanger. That would really suck!

I am watching the show. It's wonderful. McShane is good, but it's the sum of its parts that's greater than the whole.

i (heart) kings. I was sad that it disappeared. Thank goodness for hulu. I don't have a lot of time for tv, so I think it's really saying something that the time i DO have, I spend watching this show and reading about it and trying to find some good news, like it's going to stay on air.
