If you ever needed proof that every action performed by every famous person in America is now being filmed and analyzed, just consider the tape of President Obama killing a fly during an interview:
The footage immediately became ripe material for, well, everyone. Two of the best last night were Jon Stewart and Craig Ferguson. Stewart turned the Great Fly-Killing Swat into a funny sight-gag (warning: Jon Stewart without his shirt on may be not suitable for work viewing):

But the best verbal joke about the Obama incident was Ferguson’s, who compared Obama’s swat to what Craig claimed was Dick Cheney’s ability to snag flies with his toad-like tongue (occurs about 2:40 in here)

PETA is so desperate for publicity. I’m sorry, I am a fly killer, they are annoying and land on food with their germy fly hands. I KILL FLIES! Go President Obama!

As tvtattle.com noted awhile back, Dan Rather needs to be a Daily Show correspondent. He’s funnier than that new guy who looks like he washed out of a Apatow flick.
I actually bought an alarm clock for the deaf (and i am not deaf) to try to wake me up, but if a fly lands on me when I am sleeping it will wake me up! Go figure…

I wonder if they would condone the killing of mosquitoes? Or termites? Or a poison spider? Do they walk on grass? It could kill an ant! What about the usage of pesticides? You know, I’m all for humane treatment of animals—but this sort of logic (or lack thereof) is exactly why most people look at PETA as being a bunch of freaks.
That’s bipartisanship! The fly attacked from the left. Obama killed it with his right hand.
