It was a joke. Anyone who says it was tasteless has no sense of humor. He has absolutely nothing to apologize for and Sarah Palin is just a media leech using this to raise her profile. It would have been a cold day in hell before I would have apologized to her.

    Chris:
You realize that you just commented on a thread wherein David Letterman himself is quoted as saying the “joke” was tasteless, right?

    Palin 2012 ?!
Let’s hope this is the end of the David Letterman – Sarah Palin feud. While last week Letterman apologized, it was in a snarky sort of way, and wasn’t accepted by Palin…

A former NY Yankee ball player was just sentenced to 45 years in prision for raping a 12 year old. Is that a hoot or what?

Just got an email from John Zigler of the firedavidletterman committee. He writes that Olive Garden is pulling its ads on the Letterman show. This thing is not over by a long shot.

  • LW

Olive Garden is now denying reports that they’ve decided to pull advertising away from David Letterman’s show.
They did this to pretend to make an ethical stand – but in reality they’re hoping that Letterman makes fun of them on his show to boost their publicity.
Sounds a lot like what Sarah Palin did.

To all of the people who keep saying that Sarah Palin needs to go away, crawl back under her rock, give up her 15 minutes of fame, blah..blah..blah.. It’s people like David Letterman that bring attention to her and her family. The media can’t get enough of insulting her and her family and praising anyone who does (EW included). Didn’t DL start this? So now she is not allowed to attend baseball games with her daughter? Come on people.

All of these people who keep saying that Sarah Palin needs to go away, “crawl back under the rock”, give up her 15 minutes of fame, etc. Didn’t David Letterman start this? So she’s not allowed to go to a baseball game with her daughter? The media loves to insult her and her family at any possible chance and loves the people who do (EW included). She’s just supposed to sit there while people insult her children? Come on people.

    mks5000:
    Thank you.
    LW:
Somehow, I doubt that Sarah Palin “wanted” David Letterman to make a sexual joke about her 14-year old daughter. BTW: if Olive Garden does not come out with a definitive statement, I have already told them my family won’t be eating there again.

Sarah Palin is a bufoon plain and simple. She is a joke and her ability to inject herself in every discussion is only because she wants to make money because she cares only for herself. Who in their right mind would put their pregnant teenage daughter out there in front of the world? What in the world was that insane McCain thinking? Please, tell Sister Sarah, to go home, get educated and take care of her dysfunctional family. They too are all on drugs, or in jail. All those grifters!!!!!!!!!!!
