They can’t just quit the show they have a contract so they are just going through the motions until the contract is up. We will miss the old Jon and Kate plus 8 shows!
I don’t understand why anyone who mentions counseling mentions going to Dr. Phil!? There are plenty of counselors that can help them if they seek out the help. I think that persons who are nay sayers against the show really need to lighten up a bit. Do you think that Kate is so stupid not to realize her actions of the past towards Jon were not appropriate? It seemed clear to me in this season’s premier that she finally gets how Jon feels, and that it maybe too late to fix things. I think it is NEVER too late to fix a broken relationship. It just seems that they have made new definitions about their relationship. All relationships morph and change over time due to people’s views change as they get older. I think that Kate is trying really hard not to be the chastising person she was, well atleast while the cameras are there!
I have also watched from the begining…I am sorry for Jon & Kates troubles. But it seems the show has been focusing on Kate this season. Even the American Chopper episode, was Kate, Kate, Kate. I like her, she’s a strong woman who rose to the occation. Jon also manned up when it was needed. But we all know it’s the mom that takes on the “stress”. Don’t get me wrong, Dad’s do too, but they handle/hide it better.
Since the books were published and Jon became a stay at home dad, Kate has had some more ME time, Jon rightfully deserves some too. But as many guys do…guy time involves other woman. Maybe he should go back to work part time or something constuctive that envolves adult interaction and convo?

The show is terrible now. There is no Jon & Kate and there are no interactions or focusing on THE EIGHT either. It is now just Monday night timeslot crossover!
I have watched the show since the beginning and both parents are obviously struggling now. They need help.
they need to put everything aside and take time to focus on their real life. fix their relationship and forget the show. they are falling apart. phtsically and mentally.
Check this out the American Chopper guys and Jon and Kate have new neighbors….Look out TLC fans!
