'Better Off Ted' returns tonight: A quick hooray!

One of your favorites and mine, Better Off Ted, returns to ABC’s schedule tonight. This evening, Ted will be a rerun but a fine one, the episode called “Racial Sensitivity.” (Remember this edition, about how Veridian’s new state-of-the-art sensor security system fails to detect the company’s black employees, how horrified Ted is, and how angry Lem is, about this problem?)

Next week, however, we start getting a batch of new Teds. This is summer television to be savored, and a way to tide us over until (hooray again!) Better Off Ted begins its new season in the fall.

But show your support now and watch the summer Teds and e-mail ABC about how psyched you are that they’ve rescued a worthy show. You’ll be glad you did.

I love this show! Plus its not like ABC has a plethora of funny and exciting alternatives to show. Keep this one on air! Horrah!

The Racial Sensitivity episode is be far the best episode to watch. Well written and funny. I started watching after seeing the ads on tv and working on it as an extra.
I hope given a chance it will do well.

I agree, Racial Sensitivity still lives on in my PVR, it’s one of the funniest half hours of any tv show that I saw all season. So happy ABC is giving it another chance.

The rest of the episodes that have aired so far have been funny, but this was the funniest one. If you haven’t tried the show yet, definitely give it a chance this evening.

Awesome! I’m so happy Better Off Ted is back. Thanks for letting us know Ken. I didn’t even know there were more new episodes for the first season. I don’t think I’ve seen any promos for it on TV, which I’m actually not surprised by (typical ABC only promoting The Bachelorette). This was definitely the best new comedy of the year. It’s consistently funny. And I was overjoyed when I found out that it was renewed for a 2nd season.
However, this comedy is criminally low in the ratings. And I have a feeling these new summer episodes may bring in even less viewers (I mean, I didn’t even know about them until just now). Everyone, please get more people to watch this show. If the ratings don’t improve, I fear that ABC will cancel it halfway through season 2, just as they did with Pushing Daisies. Please, I urge all the fans of this show, get more people to watch this hilarious comedy. I’d hate to see another great show with a lot of promise get canceled before it finds an audience.

I’ve only once before predicted an Emmy win for comedy writing – that “Bowling” episode of Malcolm In The Middle. It won.
Here’s my second: “Racial Sensitivities” should win the Best Writing Emmy for Comedy this year.

This is a fine show…and particular this episode was as funny a half hour of TV as I have ever seen.

I thought the episode after Racial Sensitivity was funnier, but this one was good too.
BTW, Better Off Ted is scheduled for spring, not fall.
