I love Michelle Forbes! She is one of the top echelon character actors in television history!! She is once again awesome in True Blood. Jason’s plot is annoying me already, so I hope the columnist is right and that it all is worth it in the end. Also, can you please bring back Silverfox/Dawn/Lynn Collins back from the dead and be a vampire to screw with Jason. I love Lynn Collins! She is was in the show for far too short a time!
Great show with GREAT actors based on an excellent series of books!! I can’t wait til the next episode and I’m so glad Lafayette didn’t die.
@JILL: I thought Sookie’s reason for giving the money to her brother was VERY LEGIT. I mean that Uncle of hers MOLESTED her.

Wheeeee! It’s back! I adore those opening credits and the theme song, it’s a work of art in itself. This is the best show ever, I hope it never cancels. They need to do more than 12 episodes per season, it’s not enough.
Lafayette in the dungeon is B.S. Jason and his dead girlfriend did the bigger offense of kidnapping and killing that vampire in the basement..I hope the season ends with Jason running out of dumb luck..lol..I forgot he’ll be ok his good looks will keep him out of trouble.
Wow! I am a BIG fan of the books and Alan Ball sure has managed to incorporate some really amazing additional storylines that mesh well with what happens in the books. You know what makes this show so great? The various little details. The funny: Eric’s foils; Bill’s recycling. The emotional: Sookie sorting her dead grandmother’s personal items; Jason mourning the loss of Amy. The sick and terrifying: Prisoners having to rotate to sit on the ‘toilet’ in the dungeon; Explaining the connection between the characters in the dungeon without having to spell it out.
And, ummmm….the sex scene at the end? It almost looked like the real-life lovebirds were doing it! GULP!

We never had HBO so I only found True Blood two weeks ago on iTunes. Fell in love! Watched the S2 premiere tonight with some friends, can’t believe how much fun/scary/sexy/witty/poignant and just plain HOT can be squeezed into an hour! Best. Show. Ever.

Sorry, I liked it but did not love it. I was hoping for more. We had a murder mystery last season. Yet another one sort of makes it a repeat. YES, the show is great but I found myself by the last 5 minutes chatting with my friends than being riveted by the ending.
Did not love it. Another murder mystery? We did that last season. Not enough speed to this episode. Wished it was set months in the future instead of just the next day from the RENEE story.

Lafayette in Eric’s dungeon, I did not know. Wow, that is creepy. Eric seems hellbent on getting revenge on anyone who burned those vampires. If he knows Lafayette stole vampire blood from the vampire Stephen Root played, will he get his vengenance on him, or will he use Jason’s involvement to find a way to get to Sookie? Interesting situations are coming up. I also like the way Jessica is being used. I thought she would turn into a dull vampire. Hah! I sense father-daughter problems between her and Bill, with Sookie in the middle.
Loved when Bill was going everything he could to get Jessica to drink the Tru Blood — remember 2 parts 0 / 1 part B (or something like that!)
sorry… but for me this show is a crap! is amazing how Allan Ball has changes the caracter of Eric… very disappointing
Loved it! From the humour (Bill’s recycling, Jason “thinking” Eric getting highlights) to the creepy (dungeon scenes) and Michele Forbe’s Maryanne rocked with her verbal bitchslap to Tara’s mother.
Thank goodness for HBO Canada!

And what the heck are they moving in that dungeon? Great seeing Eric back with a vengance… its going to be a good season with him!
