NBC and Heidi and Spencer Pratt seem determined to turn I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! into the summer’s greatest torture — for them and for us.
It’s been reported that Heidi has been hospitalized in Costa Rica due to an “undisclosed illness” after spending time in the show’s “Lost Chamber,” a dark punishment room filled with various vermin, to atone for their sin of trying to get out of, and then begging to get back in to, Get Me Out of Here!
On last Thursday’s episode, we were told the Pratts would “spend the night” in the chamber, but Pratt sister Stephanie is tweeting that they were “locked in a dark room for three days.” Call me a sunny optimist, but this seems unlikely. Stephanie also tweets, “I know they pulled some s—-y antics but really nbc? Too far.”
Oh, I don’t know about that, Steph…

Locked in a dark room for only three days? How do we keep them locked in there forever?!?! Where is the public vote on fun idea?
I think the injuries were self-inflicted. Not that she purposely hurt herself or anything. but I mean she panicked, didn’t relaxed, causing her system to go haywire.
I hope she’s fine. But NBC should just cut the cord on them.

The show is awful, the cast are horrible but I love this show and will watch Monday. Weird huh?
Amazingly stupid show with even more amazingly stupid people. Celebrities??? Who’s even heard of most of them. How about renaming the snow “I’m a Loser; Make me shut up and Keep me here.”

I’m with Jeff. The show is really bad, never heard of 1/2 the cast but it’s hard not to watch once you’ve started.
Heidi and Spencer: you guys really have an odd view of yourselves. Hope you watch this tape to see how ridiculous you act. Spoiled brats.
Several things… Heidi is already out of the hospital (she wasn’t even in that long#. She was not hospitalized for their seclusion in the hut. Heidi got ill after a challenge that was filmed on Saturday. Spidi were only secluded in the hut for a couple of hours #not days# so there would be footage of them in the room that could be shown. The cast voted for them not to be allowed to return, but the network made the final decision of course. During the time Spidi was secluded in the hut they were ‘plotting and planning’ their next way to get time out of the jungle #having already spent more time at the local resort nearby than in the jungle#. They didn’t even seem to realize that they were being recorded because they were being horribly foul about the cast, crew and network. The only reason they returned in the first place is because they were informed they would be in breach of contract for quitting the show without being voted out. The cast has been upset about Spidi being allowed to return because they were told #on air# that it was their choice, yet even though they decided against their return the producers allowed their return #controversy creates ratings#. Several cast members said they plan to reveal the whole truth after the show ends.

I think this show is hilarious and just kind of disturbing with all these challenges involving vermin. I am very curious to see how the Heidi adn Spencer thing turns out. I doubt they were locked in for 3 days as they said they would only have to spend the night on Wednesdays episode.
The CLASSIC film Network never even predicted how this pathetic TV would become. Reality shows are the dreck of society.

these two are annoying for no reason. they had no remorse about leaving their two charities high and dry (if we leave it’s OK, we picked two of the biggest charities to donate to). they are awful people.

I DOUBT very highly that it was more I than a few hours in there and NBC has already said there was nothing in the room (all the crawlies had been removed) and it was more like a psychological experiment than true roughing it with the wildlife. Heidi is trying to get out of there without breaching her contract. She’s a suck.

Couldn’t happen to a sweeter girl…but seriously this is getting so old. The real celebrities on the show know how much better it is without Speidi and that is why they are so pissed, what could have a been a decent show is now going to turn into the Speidi show, and I can totally see why the rest of the cast is pissed off.
Heidi’s just a suck. Three days my ass. More like three hours and the producers have already said on record that they removed all the creepy crawlies prior to their entry and considered it more of a psychological experiment than anything remotely dangerous. She’s now trying to leave the show in a way that won’t breach her contract. And, they are trying to spend as much time out of the jungle as possible under the guise of temper tantrums, illness, whatever gets them into air conditioning and the showers. It’s really ridiculous that they can’t rough it for longer than a day at a time. I’m enjoying everyone else on the show – particularly Lou, Patti, Stephen and Daniel.

what really kills me is Speidi’s delusion of “supercelebrity” status; loser Spencer actually believes they are on par with supercelebrity couple Brangelina. LMAO.
I wouldn’t be at all surprise if they smuggled in bleach and Spencer made Heidi drink it. They are fame whores who have proven they will do ANYTHING for attention. Is this illness not a coincidence. It gives them an opportunity to leave a charity event and save whatever face they have left.

The funny thing is, Speidi actually thinks they have a fan base. What I’d like to see is the expression on their faces when they realize they’ve been more of a joke than bona fide celebrities, but that would indicate some level of intelligence on their part and I just don’t see how it’s possible. Like many others, I’d like to see them just go away, but they’d only be replaced by two other no-talent, no-intellect, overwhelming sense of entitlement, famous-for-nothing wastes of our time.
Can’t somebody just lock them in there and throw away the key. The Pratts. The name suits them well.
Smells like a publicity stunt to me. This show certainly needs more than the 3 dozen viewer that turn it on.
