And so we come to the end of the first week of I’m A Celebrity. The show cheated on its promise to reveal whether Heidi and Spencer would be allowed back into the camp in Costa Rica. We saw just a few seconds of them entering the dark, buggy, snakey room where they must spend the night for a chance to beg their way back onto the show, but even those few seconds were made revolting by Heidi praying to “dear Jesus” to give her and her husband the strength to be able to continue to make other people’s lives miserable.
As for the eviction (do you really want a Spoiler Alert?) Angela, half of the Frangela comedy team, was the first person voted out by the public phone-in vote, and… does anyone care?
The only amusement tonight was provided by Janice Dickinson, who has turned out to be a bit of a kleptomaniac, thieving items from others. (“Who took my pillow?” bellowed John Salley. Boy, they’re really roughing it out there, aren’t they? Janice stacks up nice, soft pillows for herself.) Janice also has some sort of chest congestion that compels her to heave sprays of mucus everywhere. The now-departed Angela had the best line: “Janice has been hawking up something from her Studio 54 days.”
The Hosts So Mediocre I Shall Not Write Their Names promised viewers that we’ll be told Monday whether Heidi and Spencer will re-join the competition.
Me, I’m not a celebrity, but I want out of here. How about you? Will you be watching next week?

If they ever “reboot” 101 Dalmations, Janice would make a perfect Cruella De Vil, non?
I seriously hate that NBC is stretching this Speidi thing until Monday. They are losing viewers every night, they aren’t doing themselves favours by holding out.

Good Lord! We have another week of Douchebag and Dumbell to contend with? How many times have those two quit? Couldn’t they just leave already???
I actually watched the whole episode and enjoyed it. Only because Speidi wasn’t on it. They are totally obnixious and annoying. Keep them off.
In the promo for next week, who was in that contraption I like to think of as “The Water Closet”? If it was a contestant how can they show it if they haven’t even picked who will compete in the challenge yet? As far as Heidi and Spencer being in a “bug filled shack”, I doubt there were really any bugs in it. They show the close-up of the bugs, shots of the interior, etc… but I’m sure all the bugs were safely rounded up by the critter handlers and safely put back in their cages before anyone slept in there. Just more smoke and mirrors to create drama.
I am done with this gimmick! The eight legged parasite named speidi makes me cringe!
Won’t even talk about the well fed freshly scrubbed jerks who cowarded out of being potentially voted out and shouldn’t make it back in. I bet the vote was no and the producers promised more money to their respective charities in order for the celebs to be convinced to give it one more shot.
I just love the camaraderie between Stephen and Daniel, both of whom have cleaned up their lives so beautifully and are remembering their funloving brotherly bond. I watch the show for them and for Lou and John and Patti and it would bother me to lose any of them over Stupid ass spenser and heidi.

Did anyone actually take the trouble to dial a phone for this pathetic show? I loved Angela, too bad she’s gone. I feel bad for the cute little lizard in the water tank shown in the previews and hope none of the “celebrities” hurt him next week. Janice hawking up mucus is truly disgusting. Thank Omni for the FF button so I don’t need to listen to the bland “hosts”.
I would watch reruns of “Chains of Love” or any of the 10-worst show list over this garbage.
I can’t say I watch only “quality” TV — for crying out loud, I watched all of RuPaul’s Drag Race — but I have to wonder, do people who watch this thing actually feel their individual brain cells dying?
God… I can’t sleep. Every time I close my eyes I see Janice Dickinson’s slimy and misshapen lips taking over her face. I just know I’m going to have nightmares tonight….
Angela is gone. Well, so am I. I voted myself off the island. Bad hosts, to many recaps, poor challenges, a completely wasted hour.
I Tivoed this show and then found myself fast forwarding thru the show to watch the commercials. They were more interesting.
The only action on this show is watching the mantis and lizard eatting the bugs.
My husband wants to watch this garbage and since I ask him to watch Survivor and American Idol with me, which he also enjoys, he wants me to watch this stupid and pointless crap with him. I cannot take this ridiculously fake “reality” show. People like Janice Dickinson are not but camera hounds who want to stay in the public eye as long as they can. There is absolutely nothing interesting or entertaining about this awful piece of television and I hope it is never on again so that I will not have to sit through it to keep my husband happy. He really doesn’t like it either but wants to keep watching it. This kind of crap is why NBC is in last place! When you think of the good quality programming they do have it is a shame they ruin their image with this. I hope that this show and all of the faux celebrities on it go away!
